Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. Fantastic 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Jun 2019

To start with, I'm a pick snob. My friends all use whatever pick they find in their guitar case or junk drawer, but I can't do that. I learned a long time ago that the pick is the "secret weapon" to getting the tone you want. Over the years I've experimented with hundreds of different ones.

The Blue Chip TP1R is my absolute favorite, though. It's articulate, has sharp attack when needed, and soft attack too. It can provide a mellow tone or a crisp one. It's got both good grip, and good glide over the strings. And all with minimal "pick click," which drives me crazy on a lot of picks. Honestly it kinda does it all. I'm a fan.

  2. Great pick for arch top and electric guitars in particular 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Mar 2019

I've currently have a TP50-1R, TP60-1R, and a CT55. I give all 3 types of picks I have now 5 stars (see those reviews if you're interested) but the TP60-1R is really great for arch top and other jazz guitars. The sound is crystal clear, the feel of it inspires confidence that you will be accurate in your picking and with this pick in particular, the one rounded corner is a wonderful and useful option. If you've ever gravitated to Golden Gate, Dawg, or D' Area type picks because you like the rounded corners but thought the tone was a bit too dark, the TP60-1R is for you! The pointy sides are great for accuracy and speed and the rounded side provides a smooth feel but with a lot more definition than the Golden Gate type picks. This is just a really great sounding pick for jazz guitar and also for electric guitar when you really want to lean into the notes (like for playing blues).

provides full and articulate tone. Glides over the strings. Well worth the money.

  4. TP 1R 60 4 Star Review

Good pick but maybe a Little to thick and not as sensitive as my TP 1R 50. Hard to get the ultimate pick when you canĀ“t test them first.

Just the right size and thickness. I like the fact that I can have the best of both worlds with one pick. it makes my Taylor 810 sound great. I don't know why I waited so long to purchase one. Great service too! " Get ya one "

  7. In 4 days they made it to France... 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Jan 2017

These are everything people say they are! And they said a lot.
Best thing I heard before was someone saying:
Look at it as a cheap upgrade for your guitar and a great tool to improve your technique.
Got a TP1R60 and a TP1R55 (with the thile bevels for comparison).
I like'm both equally, being the 55 a little brighter.
Will try not to lose them, but if I do, I'll buy the same again.

  8. This is the one 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Dec 2016

I've been playing guitar for 45 years now. Throughout that time, I've used a variety of picks including ones that I've made myself. After purchasing my first TP60-1R over a year ago, I was totally hooked. It feels great in my hand and gives me the tone that I prefer from a thicker pick. It helps me to play faster and remains smooth even after many months of play. I primarily use it when playing my acoustic and electric guitars but, I love the rounded edge when playing my mandolin. I mostly use a CT55 with the mandolin which happens to be another fine Blue Chip product. I'm sold on the Blue Chip picks. I own 5 of them now. Thanks Blue Chip.

  9. great pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Oct 2016

I originally bought the 40 but felt Inwould like something thicker. I loved the shape and went for this 60. I love this one as well! Plenty of heft but my curiosity may get the best of me and I might yet buy a thicker one. Tone between the 40 and 60 seemed fairly consistent between the two and the difference between the one round and a point is great to have on the same pick.

  10. great variety of sounds 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Sep 2016

I love this pick because it has a real warn sound on the rounded side, great for soloing without much pick noise. And the other sides are amazing for pop and other things that require definition but doesn't take the tone away!

I used to play wegen mostly, now this is my go to pick!
