Product Overview

The TP-1R is our classic triangular pick in a 60/1000 of an inch thickness(1.50mm) with ONE ROUNDED CORNER.  All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

    Excellent!

I can't say enough about BC picks. I have over 10 of them now and I love each one for different instruments/ playing styles. They are definitely worth the money for what you gain in playability and tone.

Best pick I've tried so far

Posted by Jamie on 30th Jan 2021

I don't usually buy picks without grip on them due issues with picks falling out of my fingers, but the Bluechip was perfectly textured for this no to be an issue. The pick sounds great and slides across the string so easily it feels like cheating. Very happy and the service from Bluechip is above and beyond, highly recommended.

    The most versitle picks around

Posted by Carl S. on 7th Dec 2020

I’ve been using Blue Chip picks exclusively for over six years now. I own at least 7 as I keep one with all my guitars and mandolins. I’ve been using the TP-1R 60 as its rounded edge works perfectly when flat picking or playing my mandolin. This material never wears out! I just feel much more confident as a player with this pick in my hand. I highly recommend Blue Chip picks.

    Finally

Posted by MV on 4th Nov 2020

I've been looking for a pick like this for a long time. It performs perfectly. I don't have to worry about it when I'm playing. Other picks I had to make sure I used an edge that wasn't frazzled yet, or had abrasions that detract from the sound of the notes. I was constantly rotating and turning the pick around and down to try to get a decent sound. So glad I found these. Kudos to Julian Lage for letting us know they exist.

great pick (as they always are) but this one isnt for me.

I recently lost my TP60 playing a gig in the woods and I was devastated. That pick helped me become a better flat picker. I got the TP1R60 as a replacement and the pick is great but I just think my loyalty lies with the TP60.

Great pick for arch top and electric guitars in particular

Posted by Nick Koutsoukis on 28th Mar 2019

I've currently have a TP50-1R, TP60-1R, and a CT55. I give all 3 types of picks I have now 5 stars (see those reviews if you're interested) but the TP60-1R is really great for arch top and other jazz guitars. The sound is crystal clear, the feel of it inspires confidence that you will be accurate in your picking and with this pick in particular, the one rounded corner is a wonderful and useful option. If you've ever gravitated to Golden Gate, Dawg, or D' Area type picks because you like the rounded corners but thought the tone was a bit too dark, the TP60-1R is for you! The pointy sides are great for accuracy and speed and the rounded side provides a smooth feel but with a lot more definition than the Golden Gate type picks. This is just a really great sounding pick for jazz guitar and also for electric guitar when you really want to lean into the notes (like for playing blues).

provides full and articulate tone. Glides over the strings. Well worth the money.

    TP 1R 60

Good pick but maybe a Little to thick and not as sensitive as my TP 1R 50. Hard to get the ultimate pick when you can´t test them first.
