Product Description

The TP-1R is our classic triangular pick in a 60/1000 of an inch thickness(1.50mm) with ONE ROUNDED CORNER.  All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

Great Pick This Is My Favorite Brand And Favorite Pick.

  2. Blue Chip picks are the best 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Apr 2024

I've tried a ton of different picks, trying to find something as good or better than a Blue Chip to no avail. They are simply the best all around pick ever. The material looks slick but they stick to your hand and don't slide around like other picks. They don't wear at all. The tone is on the brighter side compared to casein and other thick picks, in a good way. They don't have that muffled sound some picks have.

  3. Best pick out there! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Dec 2023

I just bought my seventh TP-1R 60 blue chip pick. Now I have one for each of my seven guitars. Hands-down the best pick I’ve ever used. The quality at Blue Chip is so consistent. I’m a bluegrass flatpicker who also plays a lot of finger style, Folk, rock and jazz. I love the speed that these picks provide.

  4. the real deal 5 Star Review

This pick is something else. I wish it weren't but it is.
Also wish it wasn't "guaranteed to disappear in the dirt" brown. Bulk pricing might be a nice option in lieu of more noticeable colors.

  5. Best tone, feel, and get the speed bevel 5 Star Review

I believe the speed bevel is critical for the tone quality. The 1R round corner is great for strumming and this is my preferred size.

  6. Wonderful Picks 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Jan 2023

After going through several styles, I found the TP-1R works the best for me. I have several different thicknesses and use them all depending on the situation and instrument. Blue Chip made me a TP-1R 55 that is just awesome. Love the round bevel as well. To top it off the Customer Service is fantastic. Needless to say but I am a "Blue Chipper" for life!

  7. Excellent! 5 Star Review

I can't say enough about BC picks. I have over 10 of them now and I love each one for different instruments/ playing styles. They are definitely worth the money for what you gain in playability and tone.

  8. Best pick I've tried so far 5 Star Review

Posted by on 30th Jan 2021

I don't usually buy picks without grip on them due issues with picks falling out of my fingers, but the Bluechip was perfectly textured for this no to be an issue. The pick sounds great and slides across the string so easily it feels like cheating. Very happy and the service from Bluechip is above and beyond, highly recommended.

  9. The most versitle picks around 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Dec 2020

I’ve been using Blue Chip picks exclusively for over six years now. I own at least 7 as I keep one with all my guitars and mandolins. I’ve been using the TP-1R 60 as its rounded edge works perfectly when flat picking or playing my mandolin. This material never wears out! I just feel much more confident as a player with this pick in my hand. I highly recommend Blue Chip picks.

  10. Finally 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Nov 2020

I've been looking for a pick like this for a long time. It performs perfectly. I don't have to worry about it when I'm playing. Other picks I had to make sure I used an edge that wasn't frazzled yet, or had abrasions that detract from the sound of the notes. I was constantly rotating and turning the pick around and down to try to get a decent sound. So glad I found these. Kudos to Julian Lage for letting us know they exist.
