  1. One of the eight best picks I've ever played with 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Jul 2017

I received my Jazz LG60 in my most recent order. BC was kind enough to put a slight bevel on it, even though that wasn't listed as an option when I ordered. It's everything I expected, mainly great feel and great tone. That said, I have eight different BC picks now and I love playing with all of them. They sit out beside my practice chair and I switch around during my sessions. My Jazz LG80 is a real go-to, because I work a lot on Pat Martino-style lines. The CT55 was a really nice surprise, since it's larger and thinner than I thought I'd like, but I love it, too. And, of course, there's the Jazz LG100, which gives the warmest tone of any pick because of it's thick, pointed tip. I look forward to trying out a few other styles of BC picks in the future. Thanks!

  2. nice and crisp 5 Star Review

I liked the thicker picks, I wanted to try a pointier one so I grabbed this. The point did just what I hoped it sounds great on my Old Wave oval A and all my guitars. I do prefer the triangle on the mandolin because I also like the rounded side but for my smarting 00018-he and my electrics this pick does great!

  3. Best pick ever? 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Mar 2016

I've been searching for the perfect pick for years now, and I think I've found it! The size is perfect, the material comfortable, the point is perfect for my purposes (I play lots of fast stuff, shred, jazz, metal, classical etc.), the tone is phenomenal and the pick just doesn't wear. Normally I see significant wear in a traditional jazz 3 after about 2 days, to give you an idea of how fast I wear down picks.

It's worth mentioning that it takes a number of days to "break in" though, regarding the tone. It starts out sounding a little bit dull, but then colors up after a little while. After that, the tone seems to stay that way and any sort of "wear" just stops. It's actually kind of weird, but I like it.

It's also worth mentioning that the customer service is amazing! As a joke, I wrote "maybe throw in a chocolate bar or something" and they actually did lol! It was a tasty chocolate bar, and this is the perfect pick. Next I'll see if I like the right hand speed bevel better than the universally rounded one :)

  5. Quest for the Holy Grail......of picks 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Jul 2015

I have been on a quest for the best guitar pick for me for a couple of months now, I have ordered picks in all price ranges and materials, my favorite was a stone pick, but with the noise on the high E & B strings it was clear that I would have to find another alternative, there are only a couple companies that I didn't try, after receiving the Blue Chip I stopped my search, I play a minimum of an hour a day and most days find time for 3 to 4 hours, my style is prog rock so l play a lot of fast alternate picking which is very hard on your pick, I have played with this pick for a out a month now with no signs of wear, the high E & B string noise is gone for the most part and the pick feels almost as smooth off the strings as the stone pick which feels like glass, it's really close, I intend to make this my pick and purchase more, if you are on the quest I was then make sure you give this one a try, I don't think you will be disappointed

  6. Worth the Price 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th May 2015

I like to play with a wide variety of picks for a wide variety of circumstances. On guitar and mandolin, for certain plectral challenges, I prefer a jazz pick. This pick plays like a dream. I would have preferred it to have been a trifle larger, but it seems very close to the standard pick size, with a bit more of a point. The material does seem to have a peculiar "grip", without feeling "sticky" or "tacky" to the touch. The material feels very sturdy and I suspect will be very abrasion resistant. If you can avoid losing it, for years of use, methinx the pick will be found to be well worth the purchase.

  7. Integral part of my gear 5 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Nov 2014

I've been using the LG 60 Jazz for about a year now. You wouldn't think there was so much to say about a pick, but wow, I have a lot to say.
It looks and feels the same as the day I got it, and I play a LOT.
I play in a rock band, and I can shred with this thing and stay extremely accurate.
There's something about the shiny surface that helps it stick to my fingers.
The tone is great. Really bright and pronounced.
It really feels like an extension of my hand.
    The dynamics are fantastic.
Unicorns gather around me whenever I play. (it gets a little awkward explaining that to the neighbors...)
Seriously. I love this pick. I bought a spare, just in case. But I put it away every time just as carefully as I put my guitar away. To me, it's an important part of gear and my sound.

  8. Fantastic 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Jun 2014

This pick lives up to all the hype.
    The sound is crisp.
Playing with it feels like driving a luxury fast car: It's smooth, you're in better control, and you want to drive (play) all the time.
This pick feels great to hold.
Remember to request to have it beveled.

  9. Wow! The best pick I've ever tried. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Mar 2014

I've tried so many picks and the Jazz60 LG is the best so far: great tone, perfect size, not too small like a Jazz III but smaller then a standard Fender pick, fast and articulate. Love it!
