The Jazz LG is a pick that is very similar in shape to our original Jazz pick. It is slightly larger than the regular jazz pick. This is a Jazz LG in a 80/1000 of an inch(2.0mm) thickness. All of our picks a professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched. This pick comes with a universal rounded bevel.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

I have been playing blue chips for a while now, and I have really liked the TP and Jazz Large shapes the most. I got in contact to ask about the possibility of a TP with jazz tips, and blue chip made it happen! It is perfect for me, because I play heavy handed, and a lot each day, so something thick, fast and with 3 points is ideal.
I also got my name engraved on the back and it is just perfect. You might expect that as a thicker pick, it might sound lacking in tone, but that is not the case at all. I very much got it with electric guitar in mind, but it turns out it is perfect for acoustic as well. This custom shape just feels perfect in my hand too. I usually make myself picks out of casein, because I run my own business called "Carson Picks", so I am used to making my picks just the right size and just the right bevel angle.
I could write paragraphs about why you should purchase a blue chip (Especially a thicker one), but the best thing is for you to just buy one yourself, and see first hand the difference they make.
Thanks again Blue Chip!

My gold standard for tone and feel was Red Bear. Initially, I thought these
were a bit inferior. There was more pick noise, and I felt a bit more
friction with the strings as well. However, after a few hundred hours (maybe
more?) of use, the surface smoothed out, leaving them very close in tone and
feel to Red Bear. They aren't identical, but in my estimation they are
definitely *not worse*. Add to that the fact that they last much longer, and
I don't see a compelling reason to use anything else. They're really great.
Lest you think I am imagining things, I recently ordered some backups and when
you look at the new vs old side by side, the difference is pretty dramatic --
the old ones have a glassy, smooth surface, while the new ones look matte. I
also noticed the color changes a bit (they start out more dark chocolate and
end up more milk chocolate...).
Not sure how long this image will stay up, but if you want to take a look for

Perfect size and shape, love the point, love the sound and feel. What else is there to say?

Not seeing other reviews bring this up so I will.
Other Picks: Wear out.
BlueChip picks: Don't wear out.
This is what makes these picks so great. I've used a LOT of picks (cheap and expensive) and I've always been very picky about my picks. They're made out of a really hard composite material that is extremely wear resistant I've never seen another pick this tough. They have tons of shapes so as long as you know what you like BlueChip is the pick. I will say though that they are not fun to lose and losing a guitar pick is easy so take that into consideration. Mine live on my desk or in the weird tiny pocket most jeans have.

I know the price is scary. But these picks play better, are more durable, and sound so much better it’s scary. The best! Thanks Matt and Allen!

For anyone looking for a Jazz XL size pick, look no further. This plectrum really nails it as far as "better than turtle shell" tone in a slightly larger than jazz size. Go the extra mile and opt for the engraving, you will smile every time you see your pick with your initials on it.

An amazing product. Best picks I've used so far.

when you first see them they look slippery and ugly and plain. my first thought was “this thing better work a lot better than it looks”. it turns out they are pure function and no fashion. Great picks are about three things. one is not slipping from your fingers. blue chip picks are so smooth and yet they stay put and never slip or grease out. two is the feel on the strings. blue chips feel effortless and never catch. they glide over strings and smooth out your playing but still somehow have great string sensitivity. Third is tone. blue chips sound smooth and rich. not overly bright but you get clean controlled dynamics. every dollar goes into quality materials and flawless finishing. pure function.

Over the last 25 years I have played Red Bear, numerous Wegen, numerous Dunlop, custom picks, real tortoise shell and many other picks. I can play with all of them, but always felt they left something to be desired. Shape not the best, scratchy on the strings, sound not great, slip in grip, all of them lacked in one area or another for me. The moment I picked up the LG 80 and played my first note I knew I had found the absolute perfect pick for me and my search had ended. Warm, loud clear tone on both my archtop and Gypsy Jazz guitars. Glides off the strings amazingly which facilitates the greatest speed of my life. Fits perfectly in my grip. Does not move around in my hand, still trying to figure that one out. For me, the LG 80 is the absolutely perfect guitar pick and it is very cool to finally have what I have searched for all these years.
