Product Description

The Jazz pick is very similar in size and shape to the Dunlop Jazz 3 pick.  This is a Jazz in a 60/1000 of an inch(1.5mm) thickness. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched. This pick has a universal rounded bevel.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. smooth and silent 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Aug 2025

had the pick for a day and compared it to some other jazz iii i had. I've been using a Jazz III stiffo for over 20 years and tried Primetone recently. With the BC there's a pretty obvious difference when just moving the pick against the strings. the other picks were scratchy, but the BC was pretty much silent. that slick feel is really great and adds to the clarity of strums and lead lines. the pick itself, while untextured, stays put in my fingers. so far pretty happy. thx!

  2. Nice balance with finger picked notes 5 Star Review

    Reduced friction and great tone.

  3. Incredible pick! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 31st Jul 2025

I am fairly new to blue chip picks, but after using them for a few weeks I can already tell they are going to last a lot longer than any other pick I have used. I can wear down a tortex in a few days usually and ultex a little bit longer, but these have barely worn at all. They also play smoother than any other pick I have.

  4. great jazz pick 5 Star Review

I like the feel and tone I get with this one. I also like how this material glides over the strings reducing the friction that plagues the average plastic pick. The Jazz 60 is wonderful!

  5. There is Something Here 5 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Jul 2025

I've been playing Jazz III picks for a long time, and haven't been unhappy with the brand I had been using, but I figured I would give these a try. I can't tell you what it is, but these are better. I've played my Jazz 60 back to back with other picks and the Blue Chip just sounds better. They have ruined Jazz IIIs for me. There will be more Blue Chips in my future.

  6. replaced my jazz threes 5 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Jun 2025

This pic is hands-down the best pic I’ve ever played with. Considering how many pics I’ve gone through to get here the price for this blue chip as well worth it. You would think with no raised lettering that this pic would be slippery or hard to hold onto. Surprisingly this thing has the best grip while still allowing me to make micro adjustments on the fly. Do yourself a favor and at least try it for me. It ended up being the best investment.

  7. The Lambo of Jazz III picks 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th May 2025

If you’re used to the JazzIII shape, this works best. You’ll settle in nicely with the familiar shape but will be happy with the improved handling the Blue Chip material provides. There is no annoying chirp like acrylic picks nor that plasticky click from nylon and other plastic materials. The pick opens up more frequencies that are very pleasing.

  8. I love these!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 5th May 2025

Great pick. I have 2, the Jazz mini 50 and Jazz mini 60. I destroy picks normally. These are unreal, haven't worn them down and I've been teaching, practicing and gigging with them.

  9. pleasantly surprised 4 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Jan 2025

I have never really understood why someone would pay $35.00 for one pick until now. I have been using dunlop jazz 3 max grip for years. On a whim I decided to buy one just to see if I could hear a difference. The sound I get from my D-18 is very noticeably different. Better, louder more robust. I will be ordering a second one, just in case. Great pick.

  10. So Smooth 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Dec 2024

Smooth with full bodied tone. Feels great. Certainly an improvement on the Prime Tone 1.4 which, until now, I considered the best. But also a big price differential! Great product - definitely a keeper.
