Product Description
The Jazz LG is a pick that is very similar in shape to our original Jazz pick. It is slightly larger than the regular jazz pick. This is a Jazz LG in a 40/1000 of an inch(1.0mm) thickness. All of our picks a professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched. This pick comes with a universal rounded bevel.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

Great for controlling righthand motion

I use this pick for platpicking the acoustic guitar rather than for jazz - for that I prefer the Jazz LG 50, which is just a little bit stiffer and thus great to get that nice even tone you want on an archtop, but I find it just a tad too dull for an acoustic guitar. The Jazz40LG is certainly not dull, but quite crisp and it produces excellent tone. I find it particularly good for eliminating excess movement in the right hand, which a slightly larger pick (such as the TD40 and TD50, which I use when I really have to dig into the strings for heavy rhythmplaying) tends to induce - at least with me it does. The Jazz40LG allows you to play really close to the strings without sacrificing tone, and in so doing forces you to economise your right-hand movements, thus saving strength and lessening fatigue, but above all helping you to play cleanly and evenly. Playing fast runs, sequences or solos of 8- or 16th notes is a breeze with this pick, but it's great at any speed.
