Product Description

The Jazz LG is a pick that is very similar in shape to our original Jazz pick. It is slightly larger than the regular jazz pick. This is a Jazz LG in a 35/1000 of an inch(.89mm) thickness. All of our picks a professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched. This pick comes with a universal rounded bevel.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. Love this pick! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Feb 2018

I have searched for the perfect pick forever. From a feel, tone, and playability perspective this is as close as I’ve come. I love it. That being did, while I’m certainly willing to pay a premium for that quality, the high price is a bit discouraging. I like having picks in many places and in my pocket, and as a home ‘noodler’ (I’m not a professional or regularly gigging musician) I have a hard time justifying the cost. I’m hopeful that the price point can come down enough to truly make this my go to pick. In the meantime I will likely keep this one safe at home and maybe put another on my bday list as I continue to use more affordable picks as my daily strummers. Thanks for making a great pick!

  2. As good as it gets 5 Star Review

I love my Jazz35 LG. I alternate between this and a TP40, because honestly, I can't choose between them. The sharper tip on the Jazz picks changes the articulation and the feel. My BlueChip picks give a more mellow sound on both acoustic and electric than the other picks I sometimes use.

I normally use picks with physical "grip" molded into them, but BlueChip picks really grip in my fingers better than any other material I've ever tried--and the friction actually increases when there's some sweat.

  3. Great Pick 5 Star Review

I purchased the Andy Wood Version of the Jazz35 LG, Jazz40 LG, Jazz50 LG, Jazz60 LG. I am completely happy with these purchases. The picks are articulate, precise, and smooth. I use the different gauge picks with different guitars and string gauge tensions. I love that the (Andy Wood) version of the picks is sized right between the regular and large size jazz pick and comes with gripping holes. I highly recommend these picks.

  4. Dad Loved It! 5 Star Review

I bought this pick for my dad for his birthday. He leaned about Blue Chip Picks from a friend of his while they attended a bluegrass festival. Gave it to him last Saturday and he played his guitar for a long time that night. Best gift I've ever given him.

  5. Excellent pick for octave mandolin 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Jul 2017

I have a guitar body octave mandolin, and this pick gives me the quick response I need. It brings out the shimmer of the instrument to help it cut through the mix, and it allows the strums to be snappy. Love it

  6. Just what I needed! 5 Star Review

Been looking for a rigid pick that was thin, yet not very flexible. Found that in the BC Jazz 35. Don't know if I can ever go back to my old Dunlop Tortex's. Don't think I can....don't want to, either!

Hardly wears....I'll be buying another one of these.

  7. Don't buy it 5 Star Review

I want them all to myself. Don't tell your friends about these.

  8. great pick 5 Star Review

Great, bright tone, quick attack. Slight flex that is not present in thicker Blue Chip picks, but still very pleasingly stiff. I would absolutely recommend it-- the Jazz-style point and the more traditional size is awesome!

  9. Best of Many Hundreds 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Feb 2015

I've played since 1962 & tried practically everything out there. You won't have to switch plectra for flat picking, hybrid, strumming, whatever.

Your best advantage is to tell your competition that it sucks.

  10. It's just a pick.. but, the only one you need 5 Star Review

Posted by on 20th Jan 2015

I know, I thought it was absurd. My colleagues told me it was absurd. But it is truly the best pick you will get. If you know the best, why not buy the best? I personally invested in a wallet with a pocket designed specifically for guitar picks so I will never lose this. It is smooth, reduces string noise, and rolls off of the strings in a good fashion. Gripping is easy and I seldom slip my grip and allow it to rotate. I recommend it for anyone with attention to tone and technique - if a pick is just a pick to you, you may not see the value. Considering the durability of this pick, not having to ever buy another means I spent the right amount of money. It works for me, and very well.
