3 A little let down
Posted by David Minarik Sr on 9th Jan 2021
I purchased the thumb pick because I really didn't care for the plastic models. The bluechip is nice looking. I ordered a large and it didn't fit. I called bluechip and got instructions on how to adjust it. Proceeding cautiously, I made an adjustment and got it to fit my thumb, but I find it hard to keep it from falling off. I didn't want to adjust it too much, as I was advised that it would break. I'm back to the plastic Dunlop.

4 Gold fit and tone long blade
Posted by Anton Heinrichs on 11th Nov 2020
I've just started using a thumb pick as I am normally just a finger picker on a nylon or steel string guitar. I got the large thumb pick as I measure out at the threshold between medium and large and it fits very well. No slippage or twisting! The blade length seems a bit long for me, as I'm use to having my thumb close to the strings. It may just need an adjustment period, but I'm going to look for a thumb pick with a shorter blade to try out as well. Overall I would recommend the Blue Chip thumb pick.

5 Unbelievable
Posted by Chuck Wasserburg on 26th Oct 2020
Both picks I bought make me feel . . . er . . . better connected to my instrument. You could spend a lot on a fine amplifier, or $40 on a pick. These things are the shit.

5 Great Thumbpick.
Posted by Greg on 22nd May 2020
Very happy with this pick. I’ve gone through a number of different picks from various brands and this one noticeably produces a better tone. The band is very comfortable and the pick overall has a very natural feel, not a lot of adjustment time was needed. Highly recommended!

3 Too soon to tell

I believe Blue Chip Products are Excellent. But, it would be very helpful if this thumb pick came with instructions for how to file down, shape and polish the thumb pick wants modified. I am sure most people do not use it as delivered. That help would be most appreciated.

5 skeptical cynic convert
Posted by Fred on 4th Feb 2020
Purchased a TAD-45 years ago and kept in my pick fob afraid to use it without losing it. So .. while enjoying the smoothness and quietness of the flatpick I didn't commit to that being my pick. Additionally my focus was more Piedmont style rather than flatpicking. Lately picking more and attmpting crossover flatpicking with the thumbpick I started eatin up more of the GG's thumbpick. I picked up the BCT-RES-1L. Fit was fine. Smoothness was great. However the thickness darkened the tone of my HD28VS (notoriously NOT a bright sounding guitar) Contacted BC and ordered the BCT-1L to check out the possibility of brighter tone of the thinner pick. Very satisfied. Was prepared to ship back the BCT-RES-1L but tried my reso... It now resides with the Reso....

5 Eliminates scraping noise
Posted by Charles Adamek on 18th Jul 2019
I have used the Blue Chip thump pick for five years. Had to buy a new one because I lost my old one. It still had years of service left. Best thing I have ever done to improve tone quality on my banjo. Eliminates any possible scraping sound caused by wear on a plastic pick. Highly recommended.

5 Great Thumb Pick
Posted by William Sansburn on 31st May 2019
Heard about this from a friend in Texas. On our way back to Michigan I purchased a M at a guitar store in Nashville and waffled between a M and a L. I went with the M. When I got home I had trouble with the size, too tight. I ordered a L and am very satisfied. Will recommend it to others!

4 Large pick
Posted by Neil L Linden on 7th May 2018
I would have given 5 stars and the picks are great, but I am surprised if no one else has this issue. I have used a L thumb pick for 50 years and the Bluechip L just floated around my thumb and I could not adjust it smaller. The medium fits fine. Maybe I just needed to adjust it more, but I didn't want to crimp it. It says on the site that it fits just like any standard large thumb pick, which I think needs more explanation.
