Product Description
This is our dobro/resonator thumb pick in a size large. This is a slightly thicker blade design as compared to our banjo picks to withstand the more strenuous use on a dobro. It is constructed using a custom designed stainless steel band and a 60/1000 of an inch(1.50mm) thick BlueChip pick. These picks are laser etched, professionally machined, and hand beveled to create the best thumb pick available.
Size compares to a standard large thumb pick of any brand.

These are great picks! It's Blue Chip's larger size and longest Dobro pick that fits me best and produces the best tone. With a little bend to the band they fit me perfectly, staying in place and without cutting into the cuticle. The blade holds up well for a LOT of playing time! Also the Blue Chip folks are friendly and helpful!

This Pick Is Too Darn Good!

I decided to spring for one of these picks (reso-L model) as the soft plastic picks I use for pedal steel wear out too fast and are not real loud, and the harder plastic model is very uncomfortable. There is only one problem - while I ordered it for playing resonator, I tried it first on my pedal steel - AND LOVED IT! So now I need to buy another one - so that I have a spare, and can put one in each bag I keep with the instrument: pedal steel and resonator.

Dobro picker alert

A great fitting thumb pick with good length to play dobro. It gives good volume with strong picking. I already had one that I enjoyed, but was afraid it might get lost, so I bought two more for backup. Metal band allows a good fit, and pick is very durable. I had to give up on plastic thumb picks because of breakage and fit, and this was a great replacement option.

Hands down the best pick there is. I could never get any other thumb pick adjusted right so I always fiddling with them. That was just the way it was until I broke down and bought a Blue Chip,I just felt like they were too expensive… we’ll come to find out they we’re worth twice the price. I put it on and it almost adjusts itself. I threw out every other pick I had the day I got it. By the way the tone and strike is clear and smooth.

No comparison between this thumb pick and the standard Golden Gate that I have used for years. Sound quality is cleaner, clearer and volume is substantially increased. Only thumb pick I’ve been able to find that will fit my large thumb. Very pleased. Never going back.

Great dobro Pick

It’s a great pick on dobro and guitar to. I have just heard several people say good things about these picks. I just thought I would give them a try. And I’m glad I did try them. Now I’m sold on them. They sure do make my old Martin guitar ring out.

I have tried many a thumb pick as I primarily play roots/country/folk stuff on guitar and I decided to try out Blue Chip finally as I have loved their flatpicks for a long time and it doesn't disappoint. Same blue chip excellence, in a thumb pick. Using it for acoustic and Pedal Steel and I love it. Worth every dollar.

I have been learning to play a tri-cone resonator. I have been trying different picks for fingers and thumbs to get the right combination of picks that work for me. I have got at least one of most everything you can get, for fingers and thumbs. Thumb picks have been a challenge until I found Blue Chip. I first tried the BTC JDL and it worked well, felt good on my thumb with no turning issues but I kept losing/missing the strings. I ordered the BTC- RESO- 1L and it is just great! It is a little longer that the JDL and it works great for me! I would recommend this thumb pick for anybody playing a resonator or just learning like me. Hats off to Blue Chip!!

Great fit, super sound

Hands down this is the best thumbpick I've ever used. In the past I've tried many different brands/styles but have never been completely happy. Metal thumbpicks don't have the sound I prefer and plastic ones stretch and get loose quickly (as well as breaking often). These have the best of both worlds while also fitting more naturally and comfortably than any metal thumbpick I've tried.
