This is the TAD-3R pick in 50/1000th of an inch(1.25mm) thickness. It is identical to the TAD, but HAS THREE ROUNDED CORNERS. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

The TAD50-3R is the best mandolin pick I've ever used. It just feels good in my hand and doesn't slip. It provides excellent attack and follow through on the strings, resulting in great tone.

These picks feel great in the hands. I don't know how to describe the feeling, but not slippery and not rough. They also sound like better. My teacher put one into my hands and I've had a hard time going back to other picks.

I ordered a TAD50-3R Blue Chip pick to play mandolin and it is excellent.. ...I took the advice of another mandolin player....3 nicely rounded corners that enable me to play the mandolin faster with more control......Best picks.....I am very pleased... These great picks help my 79 year old fingers to hold the picks better....They are worth the cost.....

I love the speed bevel and the equal round corners allow you to pick it up and just play. The pick is very fluid and smooth! I would recommend this pick to any bluegrass player!

Yes, it's a cliché and yes, they're expensive but there's nothing to touch these picks; feel, tone, quality of workmanship, the lot.
I use the TAD50-3R for mandolin and while Wegen dedicated mandolin picks (from Europe) are good, these are better.
Just don't lose one!

It makes a difference...... a pretty big difference.

The TAD-50 is a "tad" larger than the TPR-50. The rounded tips and beveled edges of the pick result in a warm, smooth, tight and punchy tone.

I selected this pick because I generally use TD picks for strumming, but since this pick has a more rounded tip, I knew it would be less bright and warmer than my TD picks for lead or single-string playing. I am very satisfied with the sound and playability of this pick. Perhaps because of its shape, I believe I can feel it sliding off the strings with less friction than other picks. It sticks to your fingers, but slides off the strings! Of course, Blue Chip is a great company and it has been a pleasure dealing with them whenever I've needed to write or talk to someone directly. I've never completed a transaction with Blue Chip and been unhappy. I want to like my TD picks more, but I really love this shape of TAD-3R. At any shape, in terms of quality, Blue Chips are the best picks ever made.

Great mando pick. It grips you and it glides over the strings!

I love this plectrum. I use it for my mando and guitar. They are difficult to find in my dark brown carpet or at the campground, so I have a pouch for each one on each instrument. Now all I have to do is remember to put them in it! That is a small cost to protect a GREAT product.
