Product Overview
This is the TAD pick in 50/1000 of an inch(1.25mm) thickness. It is shaped identically to the TP, but is slightly larger. All BlueChip Picks are professionally machined, laser engraved, and hand beveled.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. 5 The best tools are worth it
Posted by Rusty on 29th Dec 2025
I’m not a performing artist. I’m a guy who plays for personal enrichment. I’ve got 2 years of actual learning (wrapped in 50 years of playing). I don’t want to be able to blame my gear for a crappy sound, so I have unimpeachable stuff. These picks have a great feel. And they don’t slip in my hand. I was surprised to find better control with these. I bought the TAD50 and the TAD40. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about them just looking at the price. Now I’m glad I did.

5 Great quality - as expected

This is my 2nd pick (lost the first!) - the fact that I bought this twice is a testament to how much I value it. - I would like it if the team could start engraving again. (FYI) I would be interested in having an index of which artists use which model of pick. Molly Tuttle? Billy Strings? Others?

5 A Premium Pick that's Worth the Premium Price
Posted by Robert Blanchard on 17th Dec 2025
For more than 60 years, I've been a flat picker who never thought the pick itself made much difference. But after reading the reviews of Blue Chip picks, I decided to try one. It is light years ahead of any pick I've played before. I wish I had discovered it a couple of decades ago

5 It's a BlueChip..
Posted by Patrick on 23rd Oct 2025
What can I say? It's a BlueChip... almost feels like cheating. Brings the best possible sound out of any stringed instrument.. little to no string sound, just tone. Only have 2 suggestions..1 make it in at least a few different colors and 2 would be nice to have a picture on the website of all of the picks side by side to give a better perspective of size/shape etc.

5 i thought i lost this pick!!! That made me realize how awesome they are!!!
Posted by Jim on 23rd Oct 2025
I bought this pick on a recommendation from my guitar teacher. I used it for 2 years as my GO TO pick. Then I thought I lost my Blue Chip Pick. I had an important gig coming up. Luckily I was able to rip apart the house and I found it. The thought of performing at this important gig without having my Blue Chip Pick was enough to make me purchase backup picks. They are worth the price and I consider it an essential piece of gear.

5 TAD50
Posted by Eric on 16th Jul 2025
Great sound. I especially like these as they are large enough for my arthritic hands to hold it without slippage. Much better for me than my usual jazz style picks. Did I mention the great sound? I only wish you would use UPS pr FedEx instead of USPS. It would be worth an increase in cost. USPS delivered them in a totally shredded envelope. Thankfully, the picks were still there and intact.

5 tad 50
Posted by Philip Harris on 6th Jun 2025
Not as bright of tone as td48, which seems to be very popular. Slightly bigger in width than td48 and is 1.25mm. My alvarez md60bg sounds more woody and more antique with this pic. guitar has light addarios strings. It's a keeper. I really do not have a preference between the 2 picks. I can say you can't go wrong with the tad50. Neither of the 2 picks spins between my fingers. Hope all this helps.

5 moved up to this from a tp48

Great pick. It was weird adjusting at first, but after slowly adjusting to it I feel I get slightly more volume at jams and can relax a little more rather than dig in so I can hear myself
