TAD50-3R

I am not the kind of person who collects instruments, etc. However, when I tried a Blue Chip 50 pick, I was impressed at how much it improved my mandolin playing, particularly my tremolo. The pick is easy to hold and to shift between strings. It makes almost no pick noise on the strings. It almost became part of my fingers while playing. It is not often you get a skill upgrade by purchasing a product, but this produced a definite improvement to my playing.

I don’t write reviews, but there’s something about this pick, the feel, the tone, the size, etc. It’s simply amazing.

Velvety smooth on the strings with minimum pick noise. Brings out a warm, round sound on my Taran mandolin. The PERFECT pick for playing my Trad. Scottish music. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for trad. players of any genre

I purchased Blue Chip picks after several years use because I lost the last one. This pick is sturdy as real tortois shell of the same thickness, but rarely wears.

I have never found a better pick than the Blue Chip. Comfortable to hold, smooth playing, quiet on the strings. I have tried a few sizes and have settled on the TAD50-3R. 5 stars!

Intermediate bluegrass guitarist. First Blue Chips were 40s, maybe a 45, then I switched to the TAD 50-3R. Easy to hold, solid/strong enough for the heavy work (bass runs and rhythm) yet light/nimble enough for quick picking and nuanced notes. I bought four -- two for each guitar/case -- and unless I lose one, I'm never buying another pick! Highly recommended.

I am a beginning to intermediate mandolin player. I had used softer guitar picks and could never get a good tone or acceptable tremolos until a harder pick was suggested. I have some Dunlop picks, but until I got the Blue Chip pick nothing felt right. I love the bevels. I am very happy with my purchase and have since purchased a thumb pick for my guitar playing. I highly recommend these picks.

Great pick......just a little too heavy for me. Returned then for .45's
