  1. Just awesome 5 Star Review

Posted by on 30th Oct 2017

After hearing all the buzz and hype around Blue Chip picks I finally bit the bullet and ordered one up. The service was fast, and I had it within a few days of ordering. I can’t believe how great it sounds on my D18. It’s improved my speed and accuracy as well. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

  2. the Best Pick made 5 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Aug 2017

For the nearly sixty years that I have been playing guitar, I have searched for the ideal guitar pick. The perfect pick still eludes me, but the Blue Chip TAD 3R, comes as close to perfect as I have ever found. The stiffness, feel and release off the strings is just what I have always looked for. The three rounded edges and bevel makes for a smooth release and consistent feel showing very little wear after all the hours I have put on theses picks. The 3Rs are as effective on the guitar as it is on my mandolin. They are the only picks I need and the only one I will use.

  3. TAD50-3R for Mandolin, Mandola, and Mandocello 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th May 2017

I love this pick. I used to play mandolin family instruments quite a lot in the 90's... (which was only like 10 years ago, right?) Anyway... during the past couple years I've started playing again in earnest and was looking for something that would really improve my speed and sound (besides practicing). Just kidding. The TAD50-3R was exactly what I was searching for. It plays with ease, and I instantly noticed an improvement in the tone of my instruments. The bevel on the pick made contact in just the right way to bring out the depth of tone of the instruments. The rounded edges are perfect for fast tunes like Whiskey Before Breakfast and have enough point for individual note and tremolo playing. I love these picks. Thanks much!

  4. tad50-3r 50 5 Star Review

This pick is the right size, larger than most picks, makes it easy to hang on to. Great material, no pick click sound, and so far, no signs of wear (about 2 months of use). And the beveling does make a difference, I don't have to file my picks any longer. I like that all 3 corners are finished the same, I don't have to look at the pick to decide which corner to use. Overall I pick faster and more accurately with these picks, really, I would be skeptical of that claim if I wasn't using it myself. I used to use mandolin picks for acoustic flatpicking guitar, I like a hard pick that produces volume and a clear, almost mellow tone without any pick clicking. This is it, the best, and worth the price.

  5. Treasure pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 9th Oct 2016

I bought this pick for my wife's birthday and her first decent mandolin. I've had my own BlueChip guitar pick for more than a year and I'm quite satisfied with it for its firmness in my hand and sounds it makes with strings. Now my wife has one. She's happy with it and I'm happy for that.

  6. Great pick for below average player 5 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd May 2016

I'm strictly a back deck / parking lot quality picker, but can really tell a difference with this pick. It moves over the strings more quickly and, despite looking and feeling very slick and smooth, it doesn't slide around in your fingers.

  7. Pick sounds very clicky. 3 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Apr 2016

This pick makes a lot of noise off of the strings and is HUGE. I could her the pick "tick" off of every string. I should have studied the reference pictures better as far as how big the pick is. I don't know if its because I primarily strum the guitar or what. But I had to send it back for a different pick. This one just wasn't for me.

  8. as good as real tortoise shell or maybe even better 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Jan 2016

These picks come off of the strings cleanly and have great tone
They also are very durable and don't have all the ethical baggage that comes with real shell picks

  9. The search is over 5 Star Review

Posted by on 1st Dec 2015

I have been playing guitar over 50 years and have always searched for the perfect pick. There may never be the perfect pick, but Blue Chip is as close to perfect as I ever found and I have tried them all

  10. Bluechip flatpick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Nov 2015

As many of us know, the right hand connection to our instrument
is critical, not only in the conveyance of phrasing, but tone.
Bluechip picks come in every possible thickness and shape, whichever maximizes the potential of your stroke in both of these aforementioned critical categories. Furthermore, it is no accident
that the service and attention to the player's need is of paramount
importance to this fine company, as this, along with their fine product, produces the best possible musical experience for us all.
