This is the TAD-3R pick in 50/1000th of an inch(1.25mm) thickness. It is identical to the TAD, but HAS THREE ROUNDED CORNERS. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

Intermediate bluegrass guitarist. First Blue Chips were 40s, maybe a 45, then I switched to the TAD 50-3R. Easy to hold, solid/strong enough for the heavy work (bass runs and rhythm) yet light/nimble enough for quick picking and nuanced notes. I bought four -- two for each guitar/case -- and unless I lose one, I'm never buying another pick! Highly recommended.

I am a beginning to intermediate mandolin player. I had used softer guitar picks and could never get a good tone or acceptable tremolos until a harder pick was suggested. I have some Dunlop picks, but until I got the Blue Chip pick nothing felt right. I love the bevels.
I am very happy with my purchase and have since purchased a thumb pick for my guitar playing. I highly recommend these picks.

Great pick......just a little too heavy for me. Returned then for .45's

Peter Piper Picked the Perfect Pick
If Peter Piper Picked the Perfect Pick
Which Pick would Peter Piper Pick?
The TAD-3R 50
The tone produced is neither too bright nor too soft, just right! String crossings are easier. A great addition to your pick arsenal and possibly your “go to” best friend.

Dang, I tell you, I love my blue chip picks. I use this model on a flattop guitar, which works well for anything you want to throw at it. I have a slightly thicker choice I use on the Mandolin, Chris Thile's signature, which has been my exclusive mandolin pick since the time the pickup was manufactured.

I have several blue Chip picks and they never fail to meet the test. This new one is a TAD-3R 50. It has a very comfortable hand feel slightly brighter tonal quality from my SR 50 - another great addition to my pick case!

Do yourself a favor and buy one of these. I wrestled with the price point for over a year before I bought some Blue Chip Picks. You have no idea just how much resistance ordinary picks have when compared to blue chip. There is a smoothness and sweetness that comes from the instrument when played with blue chips. Any video online does not do them any justice. You have to experience it for yourself.

Just purchased by third Blue Chip. I have two for my flattop and one for my mandolin. Playing Bluegrass Music, it gives me the best sound and control of any pick I've ever used.

The rounded points make for a warm tone quality.
