This is the TAD-1R pick in 40/1000th of an inch(1.0mm) thickness. It is identical to the TAD, but HAS ONE ROUNDED CORNER. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

This was my first BlueChip pick & I was a little hesitant about spending the money. Ordering was simple, it shipped almost immediately even though I had it customized and it arrived quickly. I was immediately impressed with the tone & quality. It's hard to describe, but it seemed faster, just glides across the strings of my Martin Guitar. Botton line, it's worth every penny & my second pick is on the way. Great people, Great service & phenomenal product!

Like the pick. I'm too new to playing to give any serious review.
I hope at some point we can have a choice of colors, especially day-glow. I've lost this pick a few times right in front of me.
Kinda pricey to lose on a dark rug ya know?

I received the TAD40 with my name on it along with a poutch. This is my 3rd blue chip pick. This is for strumming & light picking. I have a thick blue chip for the heavy bluegrass. The 3rd disappeared under mysterious circumstances. I have to say..... There is nothing like a blue chip pick anywhere. I can't be more pleased.

I love having the option of one rounded point. It works great for tremolo and tunes that need a more mellow approach. As usual, the quality is top notch.

I searched for so long to get the acoustic guitar tone that I heard in my head. Making small tone discoveries/changes along the way in strings, bridge material, etc all added up to get me close and the blue chip pick was the final piece of the puzzle for me! Once I found the blue chip picks, that tone came so much quicker and easier. These things are the real deal and they are worth every penny. Having the TAD-1R is helpful because having the one rounded edge gives me a couple of different playing style options in one pick

I’ve played music for nearly 30-years. I never believed something so small as a different pick could make such a noticeable difference in sound. What a difference! Quality of tone and sound on the strings is significantly better and is pure, effortless, and smooth.
In all honesty, I’ve made a sizable mistake in not trying this product sooner! Thank you, for making a quality, fine product!

I have three sets of TAD-1R 40, 50, and 60. One set on house keyring. One set in guitar accessory bag. And one set in a leather wrist cuff that holds three picks that I wear when playing. A lot of money to tie up in guitar picks but the best picks I've owned. Never want to get caught without. Very clear tone quality. Multiple corners allow for different tonalities. Long lasting. Makes my Taylor K66CE sound especially ethereal.

I especially like this pic when playing my dreadknots it gives good tone and good volume which I need when I'm playing Bluegrass with loud banjos and mandolins.

Blue Chip plastic is pretty magical stuff. Somehow it's glossy smooth but grips better than any textured pick and, despite heavy use, doesn't seem to wear significantly. They also have none of the annoying string slap or gritty roll off noise of say a Fender phenolic pick while giving the perfect amount of staccato to flat picking. Wish they weren't so dang expensive, but if you have the discipline to keep track of them, they are truly worth $35.

I've been playing guitar for over 50 years. So, as you can imagine, I've used lots of different picks over that time. BC picks are my favorite. One problem I have found with other picks is that at times they produce a chirping sound. BC picks are virtually silent. I think these picks provide the best way of producing the best sound from my acoustic guitars. They seem like they will be long lasting - but only time will tell. I now own four BC picks, and they are always the first pick I reach for.
