Product Overview
The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 40/1000 of an inch thickness(1.0mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

5 Bluechip is the best

Bluechip picks are rated highly for a reason. I know that a lot of bluegrass players use them. I play more jazz/r&b/rock. The way that the pick simply glides so smoothly across the strings is great. Going back to the clicky “plink” and “chirp” sound of other picks is just not an option once you’ve tried a Bluechip. I have tried several sizes/shapes and my fav is the TP40. I have large hands and they are just the right size.

It's smooth, easy to control, responsive and comfortable in my grip. It makes me believe that I can play mandolin better than I actually do.

I have three TP 40s (and a TP 50. Since First acquiring one, I have used no other brand. I keep one in each of my guitar cases. There are look-alikes, but none come close to the smoothness in playing, the feel and grip, and the clean tone. They are expensive. They are worth it.

Best pick for electric guitar that I’ve ever tried. Bar none! The feel in my fingers and the smooth connection to the strings is just incredible. I can’t use anything else.

With the speed bevels, these have to be the best picks ever made! I have tried many of the BlueChip shapes and loved most of them, but the TP and STP have risen to the top. I have gotten attached to the thickness of the 40’s and use the TPs for acoustic and the STP for electric. The shape, feel and connection to the strings is simply unparalleled. I can’t imagine using anything else going forward.

I had Matthew make me a TP35 sometime back. Had to designate “TP35” in notes. I think the TP 40 is probably the most versatile of all the models as it seems to bring out better sound on a lot of guitars and I have made a LOT of new BlueChip believers by letting them use mine. The TP35’s I got to use on OM’s and 000 bodies and also let my bandmate try on her Henderson D18………had to get her one so she would give mine back

I have several Blue Chip Picks for different guitars and mandolin. I love them all. The TP 40 is thinner than my others but I wanted to try it on my Custom Shop D-28, which has a tendency to be a little heavy on the low end. Great results! Brightened the tone and increased my flat picking speed. Highly recommended for flatpicking Martin Dreads.
