The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 40/1000 of an inch thickness(1.0mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

Some people claim that picks do not make enough difference in tone or for secure grip to warrant a high price tag. I suspect that they have never tried one of these blue chip wonders. It really does feel more secure in my fingers, and the tone is significantly superior to any other pick that I have tried. The TP 40 seems an ideal thickness and texture for fast bluegrass tunes and cross picking, but also excels on slower ballad lines. It is an integral part of the quest for that ultimate acoustic guitar tone that we all seek.

Love BlueChip picks! They sound great and are so much easier to hold onto than any other pick I’ve used.

Just switched to primarily acoustic after 40 years of mainly electric playing. I like the TP shape and go between the TP 40 and TP 48 from gig to gig. I play Maton guitars and fell like the Blue Chip picks really make a difference.

I love these picks. When I learned they were made from Vespel, which is the same material I use in turbomachinery threaded locking mechanisms, I bought two of them!
Durability, low wear and friction characteristics are the exact same properties I need for both my jet engines and my Martin D18.
well done, Ray

I own several BlueChip picks in the 40 /guitar and 45 / mandolin thicknesses. The TP40 is the best sounding and most comfortable pick I have purchased from Blue Chip All of the other Blue Chip picks I own are used regularly but the TP40 has the most pleasing sound of them all
The customer service and rapid shipping are a plus also.

I had heard a lot of good things about this pick but was unsure if it would be worth it for the price. For me it has been well worth it. It stays in your hand great, doesn’t make a lot of clicking on the strings and picks very smoothly. I used to have a couple favorite picks that I would go between but now I only use the TP40 when I play if I can help it.

I also have the TP48 and several other Bluechip picks. I think the TP40 is the best overall. I use slightly heavier for electric though so the TP48 is better for that.

I have purchased several Blue Chip picks since I first learned of them from a friend. In my opinion, these picks by far are the best acoustic picks that I've ever used. I play alot of bluegrass music and I used to use a tortoise pick but no longer. These picks ad tone to whichever guitar that I'm playing whether it's a Martin or one of my Cottens. I just recently purchased 4 of the TP 40's. I like to keep a couple of these picks in my guitar case just in case I run in to someone who doesn't use one. Once I let them use a Blue Chip pick I usually have a hard time getting it back. So if you are not using a BlueChip pick, do yourself a favor and just try one. You'll be glad you did.

TP40 is my forever pick. I have a TP50, but I like the 40 better. The feel of these picks on the string is so smooth. The grip is awesome,
and the sound is so sweet with my mahogany guitars. I wish I would have found these picks earlier in my life.

Best pick I’ve ever used. Bought another thickness to have variations but these things will last as long as I don’t lose them. I love the large triangle shape, and the tone I get.
