Product Description

The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 40/1000 of an inch thickness(1.0mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. Truly amazing and extremely pleased!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Aug 2023

My Goodness I tell you what I have been playing blue chips for the last 4 years in my bluegrass band Booze Hounds Bluegrass. I will never go back to another pick. My picks have never chipped, broke, or shredded material in my experience of owning 3 and I am a hammer handed flatpicker. My mandolin player also rocks the TAD40 and he has had the same one for many years. I had the TP48 for 2 years and I came to realize I needed a thinner pick. So I went down to the TP40 and it’s a game changer! I had a small issue with my local mailing service in my hometown (**By no means BC’s fault**) and I emailed BC looking for a solution and had an immediate response handled with outstanding customer service and a solution. They are truly the best. Booze Hounds Bluegrass thanks BlueChips for never letting us down and keeps us Jamming! Pick ON!

  2. What difference can a pick REALLY make? 5 Star Review

If it’s a Blue Chip pick, the answer is all the difference in the world. An absolute game changer in grip, speed, technique and ultimately tone. I was blown away.

  3. Like having an upgraded guitar 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Jul 2023

Very nice--it gives me a quick release from the strings and provides a good grip. It also warms up my Collings D1A, like upgrading and already good guitar. I highly recommend the TP40.

  5. pick for a picker 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Jul 2023

This a great pick for lead and crosspicking on a acoustic guitar. Nice clear notes and tone.
I have converted many good pickers to Bluechip because of this. Thanks for the great picks.

  6. Worth the money 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Jun 2023

The Blue Chip pick not only gives me great tone but is also the ONLY pick I have ever played that seems to form a bond with my fingers. It is durable and does not fly across the room like every other one iI have played. Thanks for a great product!

  7. Excellent for mandolin and guitar. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 8th May 2023

Great bright sound and feel, easy to hold. I'd appreciate (for the next time), if the surface and edges were polished just a tad more instead of showing scratches and sanding marks (which don't seem to have much of a negative effect on tone, though).

  8. Great tone 5 Star Review

I have Blue Chip picks just for others to use while recording. They leave no pick noise.

  9. Best picks on the market! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Feb 2023

Love the Blue Chip picks. I keep trying to find a cheaper pick that feels and sounds like a blue chip pick, but I haven’t found anything yet that even comes close.

  10. Always Great-- love the round bevel 5 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Feb 2023

These picks really are badass. I like the round bevel-- quieter for me.
