Product Overview

The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 40/1000 of an inch thickness(1.0mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

    Best pick EVER!

Posted by Larry on 11th Mar 2016

I have never used another pick like this one. It practically sticks itself to your right hand. Makes my mandolin sing and even if I hit the strings flat on there is hardly any pick noise. And tremolo is a breeze!

    The best picks ever

Posted by Kathleen Meade on 17th Dec 2015

I ordered the TP series of picks in a custom thickness making it a TP35. This is the perfect strumming pick for me. It sits great between my fingers and does not slip at all. Until I tried Blue Chip Picks I was primarily a finger style guitarist. I had tried tons of different picks from other manufacturers and they all slipped out of my fingers and produced an unpleasant clicking noise and either compressed the sound of my guitar too much or made it sound too bright. I was so displeased with picks from other manufacturers that I almost gave up on playing with a pick altogether. I am so glad that I found Blue Chip picks, now I can enjoy playing with a pick. I also find that the shape and material of the pick helps me play better, as I glance off the strings at a better angle and do not catch them as harshly on an upstroke. I am very pleased with my Blue Chip TP35 pick. It produces a wonderful clean, defined sound and makes virtually no clicking noise unlike every other pick that I have tried. I also have a TD35 pick that I like to use when I am alternate picking as it 's shape is great for accuracy. From now on I will use Blue Chip Picks exclusively. They are worth every bit of what they cost and are a great investment as the sound they produce is beyond compare and they are the only picks I have ever used that do not slip out of my fingers. I also gave my guitar teacher a TD35 as a gift and it is now his treasured pick, he won't play with anything but it now!

The Best Pick you can Buy

Posted by Al Segars on 16th Nov 2015

OK, the debate rages, $35 for a guitar pick? My opinion, MORE than worth the money. This pick glides across the strings and really allows you to bringing the full range of tone. The 40 yields a very even and somewhat brighter tone. Make my Martin D28 sing. For darker guitar souls, try the 50. These picks are game changers. Also, makes you more mindful of keeping up with them. A few of us pickers had a great conversation about the conditions under which you might retrieve a dropped pick....most of us would go pretty far to retrieve a blue chip....

I am extremely happy with my Blue Chip picks. They are so easy to hang onto with an easy grip and they never seem to wear. I'm sold on them.

    It's the one

Posted by Rick on 9th Sep 2014

I'm a lifelong fingerpicker working to develop some flat pick chops. Seeing the pick as an extension of the instrument I wanted to start at the top and develop with the right tool in my hand. It's great, truly, and the investment enhances my motivation to develop some of the basic chops I should have.
