This is the TAD pick in 50/1000 of an inch(1.25mm) thickness. It is shaped identically to the TP, but is slightly larger. All BlueChip Picks are professionally machined, laser engraved, and hand beveled.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

Repeat buyer. Wish it had a computer chip in it, so I could find when I lose it! I use it on my Bourgois OM Generation.

I'm really enjoying this pick. I expected it to be a darker sound from reviews, but it is brighter than all my other picks of the same thickness. One other unexpected thing is the chirp on the high notes on electric. Not good or bad, just there. The craftsmanship of the pick itself is great, and it looks very classy compared to the bright yellow tortex picki used to use :)

I have previously purchase a TD 40 and TD 45 (which I misplaced) and was unsure if i could handle a TAD 50 which is a thicker pick than I had been comfortable with. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I adapted to the shape and the thickness of the pick. There was no problem getting used to the pick. The TAD size/design was recommended by my teacher during one of his live streams. I had always been a TD man but now that is changed. I just wish they would make a TAD 45.

The endeless pick with the best tone possible (no too dark not to treble), playing jazz and fusión with a Gibson 175 and a Les Paul, I took it almost 6 years ago and still thinking it's the best option for me. Thank you

I had previously purchased a TAD40 and a TD35. I liked the TAD40 better and bought the TAD50 for the increased thickness. I thought that might help me to do better in hanging on to my pick while playing. I believe it has and has also improved my technique. Very happy with my choice.
I would try a slightly larger pick if blue chip offered one.

Sure enough! Just as everyone claims, there really is a noticeable improvement in sound. Plays great too. A little pricey but while I say that, I don’t regret the purchase and I would buy another one.

Best pick made, I've been these picks for years. They do indeed make a difference in sound. They are not dog proof though, my little pup ate my last one!

I find the Blue Chip TAD 50 as the perfect blend of strength and size for my hand when playing my Gilchrist and Gibson Master Model F-5 mandolins. The bevel is the right angle for a crisp tone without scoring the pick. I can't believe how long the pick lasts.
