Product Description
This is the TAD pick in 50/1000 of an inch(1.25mm) thickness. It is shaped identically to the TP, but is slightly larger. All BlueChip Picks are professionally machined, laser engraved, and hand beveled.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

At least one year per pointed side!

I play a lot and dig in a lot and I am just now getting my 2nd TAD50 after three years. And truth be told, I'm not quite ready to start playing with the new one, but I am glad I have a new one all lined up and ready to go when that time comes. When I completely wear out my first TAD50 for bluegrass guitar purposes, I will kindly use it as my jazz pick, and that will likely be my jazz pick for the rest of my life. Like others have said, this is the best pick I have ever used. I am a little more aggressive in my playing style...I have other folks in my life that have never worn out a Blue Chip Pick, some not even a single pointed side! And with the TAD series, you get 3 pointed sides!

I recently received my Blue Chip TAD 50 pick, and I haven’t used another pick since! It is so smooth and fast through the strings. I don’t always love playing with a pick, as they never feel secure, but this one is easy to hold on to. I can’t recommend highly enough, honestly!

I love my Blue Chip. Great tone. Use it on an acoustic archtop at the recommendation of Joey McKenzie and it makes a difference. It only took a few days to receive, so service was great. I’ll be using it on every song of our new album we are recording next month!

Second favorite pick (after TAD 40) to use with my Weber Bitteroot mandolin. It nearly has the flexibility and speed of the TAD 40 but smoother tone. Also easier for tremolo while keeping good volume.

I have tried several picks over the years. I play guitar in a bluegrass band and in a church folk group. The TAD-50 is the best overall pick for volume and projection when strumming and playing leads and breaks.

If you have any reservations about getting a Bluechip pick, I can assure you that these are top quality, high and tight craftsmanship and 100% worth the investment. Having cycled between many brands trying to find the "one" I have chosen this brand as my primary source and without a doubt, will never look back. I’ve had my pick for a few weeks so far and I am very happy with it. I wanted a large triangle shape that was half way between a standard TAD and a TAD 3R. Told you guys what I was after and you absolutely nailed it! Thank you!

At least for my mando playing, this is the perfect pick. Nothing else is even close. I love the feel of this pick, how it glides across the strings, and the tone it coaxes out. Rhythm or lead, it dudn’t get any better.
