Product Description

This is the TAD pick in 50/1000 of an inch(1.25mm) thickness. It is shaped identically to the TP, but is slightly larger. All BlueChip Picks are professionally machined, laser engraved, and hand beveled.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. best flatpick ever 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Mar 2023

I love my blue chip pick and it’s the only pick I use. It lasts and I definitely pick with better accuracy. The only negative is that it’s very easy to lose a pick so I have probably spent close to $400 on blue chip picks in the last year. It would be nice if you could buy a pack of 5 at a lower rate.

  2. unexpected benefits 4 Star Review

Posted by on 20th Mar 2023

I bought this pick solely on the recommendations from guitar players whose opinions I trust but never having played one. I find that the extra width versus other picks puts my thumb more into the playing equation. Plus I enjoy the speed bevel more than expected. The 4 stars are conservative and mainly due to the fact that I am still getting used to all this pick has to offer.

  3. simply the best … 5 Star Review

After using TAD 40 (have three of them) I find the - Custom - TAD 48 even better: still clear tone, but faster for „fast“ picking (acoustic guitar)

  4. Some Kind of Magic 5 Star Review

There is something to these picks that makes them exceptional. If you can afford one, I highly recommend them.

  5. Excellent Pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Jan 2023

I just recently bought my first Bluechip. A friend of mine gave me one of his in 2019. It quickly became the only pick I would ever use. I’m excited to buy my first one (especially after four years of using the same one and it still isn’t worn out.) To me, a Bluechip pick is worth every penny.

  6. Guitar Pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Jan 2023

The pick I ordered has been a great investment and works great. I have several Bluechip picks now, eight to be exact. How about a free one? They are great picks, but a little pricy. They are worth the price though.

  7. What a difference a pick can make!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Nov 2022

I was skeptical that it was worth the extra cost, but it's like having the right bow for your violin, it made all the difference in the world. My tone and tremolo are suddenly so sweet and relaxed! Thank you for making such a great product.

  8. Love this pick! Spendy, but very good! 5 Star Review

I have a real hard time spending that amount vfor one pick, but it IS my go to pick!!

  9. couldn’t believe it 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Sep 2022

I didn’t think a pick could be this good or worth $35. I was wrong. I really like the way this pick feels and sounds. Even though it is smooth it doesn’t slip and provides great control. I’m a believer.

  10. special order 5 Star Review

Posted by on 22nd Aug 2022

A friend that had played BlueChip picks before and lost it, played my Chris Thile 55 and liked it but wanted one in a 45. The TAD is the same size pick, but wasn’t shown in a 45. I called and asked about having one made and the folks at BlueChip graciously accommodated me. I received the TAD45 shortly there after and my friend was very happy with it. Thanks for great service and products.
