5 Pick one up!
Posted by Jim Roberts on 14th Dec 2011
I've held off on my review until I had a chance to give it a through test. I purchased the BCT-JDM in July 2011 and have used it approximately 125-150 hours. After I had the adjustment right it took around 20 hours to get to the point where I didn't want to play with any other pick. The adjustment is easy and stays where I need it. The pick doesn't rotate on my thumb regardless of how hard I play. There has been absolutely no scratching , however I have managed to hook the 5th string a few times. My instructor tells me it is do to bad hand position and not the pick. Also the tone forward or back on the head is sharp, clean and consistent. It is slick indeed. I've been playing banjo since 1972 and can say that this product is the most significant that has come to the banjo scene since I've been playing. I'll be buying another for my other banjo case! Thanks BC and J.D.

Posted by John Cline on 30th Aug 2011
The Blue Chip BCT-JDM is a very well made responsive but quiet thumb pick,it works really well and is adaptable in different combinations of picking. It's the best darned Thumb pick I've ever owned. Thanks to the Folks at Blue Chip Machining and of course J.D. Crowe the designer of this great Thumb Pick.

5 It's worth every penny!
Posted by Jim Bird on 9th Dec 2010
I was a little worried about spending $40 for a thumbpick, but once I played my banjo with it I realized it was worth every penny. The pick is comfortable to wear, and has almost no pick noise on the strings. I love the tone. This pick will improve the sound of your picking the first time you use it.
