Product Overview
This is our JD Crowe thumb pick in a size large. This pick was designed by JD Crowe and constructed to his very exacting specifications. The BCT-JDL is the exact pick that JD uses. The pick bears JD's initials on the inside between the rivets. It is constructed using a custom designed stainless steel band and a 50/1000 of an inch(1.25mm) thick BlueChip pick. These picks are laser etched, professionally machined, and hand beveled to create the best thumb pick available.
Size compares to a standard large thumb pick of any brand.

5 Plays clear and smooth

I have been playing 5-string for over 50 years, and this pick is really different from all the others I have ever used. It plays clear and smooth, adds volume when played hard, and gives good round tones when played softly. It's enhanced my performing!

Ultimate thumb pick. I do wish there were a length measurement or selection of the length. The one I chose was the large pick and for my tastes it is a little longer than I would wish. I suppose it will wear down in some period of time. I would be afraid to cut it and file it down myself. I'm afraid that I would either break it off or not get the proper smoothness as the original. That being said, it is by far the smoothest and clearest sound that I have ran across yet!

The BCT-JD Crowe thumb pick is the best I've ever put on. The snug yet comfortable fit gives an organic connection from your hand to the instrument, and the tone produced by the pick completes the circle back to your soul. I use the JD Crowe thumb pick on acoustic, electric and pedal steel guitars, mandolin and banjo. Surprisingly, the JDC thumb pick will not do windows or the dishes.

I have tried all kinds of thumbpicks, Nationals, Golden Gate, Herco, Fred Kelly speed picks. And for the money, the JDL simply sounds the best, clear tone and smooth action. And the fit is perfect, it slides on and stays like it was a piece of my thumb. If only they weren't so easy to misplace! Do yourself a favor and try one.
