Blue chip pics are the only pics I use

Been a banjo player since 1994, have tried literally every kind of thumb pick there is and kept going back to the national large picks, when blue chip came out with a thumb pick to be honest I wasn’t impressed with their first try on a thumb pick and kinda upset that I paid that kind of price for a pick, but neighbor when they came out with this one and it had the legendary JD Crowe’s name tied to it I had to give it a try, and I’m glad I did. It is durable ( duh it’s metal), comfortable, light and finally I don’t have to hang three of them on my banjo hooks. The JD Crowe model is exactly what I’ve been looking for in a thumb pick for years and boy did the folks at Blue Chip deliver. I’m excited and expecting it to last for a long time….Hands down the best thumb pick I’ve ever used, kudos Blue Chip you’ve done well!!!

Long lasting, well fitting, dynamic sounding and oh yes, expensive. I have used your thumb picks now for about 5 years and I'm on my second one. I won't let anyone use it and I'm not going to loose it.

I have plastic, i have metal, an i have plastic with stainless metal slip on. They are all “ just ok”. They twist, they loosen, they turn, they gave me one more thing to think about while playing. In desperation, this one last time, i tried a “ blue pick”. It is, by far, the most perfectly comfortable fit and feel thumbpick i have ever owned. If you buy this pick, it will be the very last time you will ever use another….this thumbpick is a dandy!!!!!

Everyone rightly balks at the price. Those bold/rich/foolish enough to spend the big bucks on one pretty much agree with me. The Blue Chip JD Crowe Thumbpick is the best pick they have ever used.
For me, it fits better than any thumbpick I ever tried and feel amazingly comfortable, especially after playing for any length of time. It flies off the strings, and its tone is less harsh, just a tad mellower, yet always crisp.
So if you are feeling bold, or rich, or foolish or maybe ready to step it up a notch, I would recommend the JD Crowe Blue Chip Thumbpick.

Never thought I would spend this much on guitar picks and be happy about it. Flat pick does not move in my hand , does not click, is loud and resonant. Thumb pick is secure on thumb and does not slip or spin, does not click and is resonant.

I'm a Viet Nam vet with neuropathy and was unable to hold a straight pick. Now I'm playing again and the tone from the Blue Chip Pick is outstanding. Also, I'm able to play and teach without dropping my pick..........Thank you for such a great product!!!

I have spent more money than I care to admit here at blue chip.com on flat picks, and because of how much I enjoy them I wasn’t afraid to go ahead and buy this banjo pick either! All banjo picks have always hurt my thumb after a while of playing, well, the blue chip has solved that problem beautifully with their wrap around thick band! They also solved the problem I have had where sometimes the band on other picks would catch the string. Overall a phenomenal thumb pick that is definitely worth the price!

Not only the best sounding but the most comfortable I’ve used so far.
