Product Description

This is our thumb pick in a size large. It is constructed using a custom designed stainless steel band and a 50/1000 of an inch(1.25mm) thick BlueChip pick. These picks are laser etched, professionally machined, and hand beveled to create the best thumb pick available.

Size compares to a standard large thumb pick of any brand.

    My new Blue Chip thumb pick is so comfortable. Previous thumb picks I have used would start to feel uncomfortable after they were on but with the Blue Chip I don't even know its on.

    I was using a plastic thumb pick that was always slipping, catching the string and causing my wrist some undo tension. This Blue-Chip pick sits firmly, and the blade is longer allowing a far more relaxed wrist. On top of that the tone it makes is far brighter and fuller. It was worth it to me.

    I was HIGHLY suspicious about this purchase. I bought it on a whim thinking anything would probably be better than the plastic thumb pick I had been using. While I did wind up shortening the pick slightly by filing it down a bit, it fit well, doesn't slip and provides a very nice sound. Quite satisfied.

    Great pick … at first I bought the wrong size and returned it … very easy. 30 day return policy… everything you’ve read about blue chip is absolutely true… go for it and you won’t be disappointed

    The the thumb pick is great. Outstanding quality. However the pick blade is a bit longer than what I need. I opted for an exchange for a BCT-JDL which is what I should’ve ordered in the place. Which has a shorter blade and should work well.

    I ordered two custom thumbpicks, both JD L models, one with a Jazz pick as the blade, and the other with a TD60 as the blade. I have been using Black Mountain Thumbpicks for the last couple of years, and really liked them, but wished that I could have a Blue Chip ‘version’, having also been using a TD60 flatpick for years. The BlueChip Thumbpicks are great, and the custom option is great. The order was completed and despatched quickly, and took around two weeks to arrive in the UK. All in all, great picks and great service.

    Best thumb pick made hands down. Silent string noise and perfect fit on the thumb. Volume and clarity. All others pale in comparison

    I now have 3 large BC picks
    One for each of my 3 favorite banjos

    The specs seem identical by which I mean I detect zero difference pick to pick and no change or adjustment to timing required when I move from one to the other

    No dreaded slippage either!!
