This is the TAD-1R pick in 80/1000th of an inch(2.0mm) thickness. It is identical to the TAD, but HAS ONE ROUNDED CORNER. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

I've been playing guitar now for 53 years and I've used at least a hundred different types of guitar picks. But not until the Bluechip pick did I realize how much the wrong pick was getting in my way. I've been using the the Bluechip TAD-1R 80 for a few weeks now with my custom made Jones D28 steel string acoustic and all I can say is I never realized how much of a difference a pick can make.
My hats off to Bluechip picks!

This pick is my personal holy grail for anything flatpick: singer-songwriter, bluegrass, jazz chord-melody, hybrid-picking. I use this single pick for everything except bare fingers or thumbpick. Being able to switch between the rounded edge and sharper edge for tone and feel is a huge plus. On my Maton ER90c with 13s, there's nothing better than this

About 3-weeks ago, I listened to Tony Podecastro's Acoustic Life about his "Top Favorite Guitar Picks Ever Made" on YouTube. He assessed 10 different acoustic guitar picks and gave each one an objective evaluation. When he announced his top choice, he had my complete attention. It was the BlueChip TAD-1R 80. And then he disclosed the price, and I swallowed hard, $50.00?! Why anyone would spend that much money? Then I remembered Tony's words, "It slips across the strings with ease. It has a speed bevel, and it also has this inherent ability to not spin in your hand." I also remembered the picks I've used and how often I yearned for a quality pick but didn't want to go through every pick out there. So, trusting Tony's experience and his top rating of the BlueChip TAD-1R 80, I navigated to this site, read the rave reviews, and spent the dinero. My assessment: this is a high-quality guitar pick, it doesn't rotate in my hand, no sticky goop necessary, and the pick does indeed “slip across the strings with ease.” Buy with confidence!

Great Pick!!! Ordered two of the BlueChip TAD-1R 80 and really love how they play. I could notice an upgrade in the tone quality and ease of movement through the strings immediately. These picks are expensive but definitely worth the money (had to rob my piggy bank). The ordering and shipping process was very simple, and the picks arrived earlier than the promised date. Really enjoy these guys!!! Thanks!

I ordered a custom TP80-1R and would love for this pick to become a regular one. I had tried the 60 and 48 before, that work great on my electric, for the use in an acoustic setting for a gypsy style I need a thicker one and the TAD's are too large for me for this style.
That would be especially helpful, since I live in Germany and German retailers only sell the stock ones, so buying a custom one is a long process with shipping, customs etc. It took this time 3 weeks to receive a small piece of plastic..... :)))) anyway great pick, I am using bluechip picks for years now and am extremely satisfied. Best regards, Holger

This pick improved my playing as soon as I started using it. Unbelievable control and tone... and I don't even have to think about it. The pick just responds to whatever I'm doing and feels rock solid doing it. And the tone!!
I have many guitars and amps but in over 40 years of playing, never experienced a pick like this. I don't think I can ever go back to using Fender Heavies or Dunlops again.

I lost the pick I had been using for more than 5 years, so I purchased it again.
I'll keep using it for the rest of my life, being careful not to lose it.

The rounded corner glides across my 6 string like no other pick has ever.
I love the 80 with rounded corners.
Well worth the price.
Usually my playing only improve with practice.
This pick makes me sound better than ever.
I love my Blue Chip Picks.
