    One of my top 3

Posted by Rene Chavez on 8th Oct 2025

I can definitely hear a beautiful difference in the tone of my strumming and picking! It adds such a warm, mellow bloom to the notes and brings out a lovely sweetness in the trebles and highs. Especially on my Hummingbird Studio acoustic/electric. These picks are absolutely worth adding and having one or two in your guitar pick collection can really elevate your sound!

    Loving the TAD 80

Posted by mike brooks on 8th Aug 2025

I was a bit hesitant to puchase such a thick pick but I am glad I went for it. Naturally everyone has different preferences. I have several picks, some of which I use for different instruments or styles of music. I do play a lot of traditional bluegrass in the Monroe style & the TAD 80 is the best pick I've ever used for that particular purpose. It has a great attack & releases very smoothly. There's no doubt about it - this is the pick for me when it comes to hardcore bluegrass

Great pick. Nothing screams $50.00 though

I like it. It presents a warm tone with minimum pick noise on an acoustic and similarly warm but slightly clicky on an electric. It is slightly more glassy feeling that other similar picks such as the Gravity Tripp XL 3.00 which is far less expensive at $10.00. My feeling is that these Blue chip picks will wear better though, they just seem like harder stuff.

    Yeah…

All I can say is, the hype is real. Plays like butter, sounds great, and any other pick I’ve ever tried, even the hardiest ones, would already have substantial signs of wear by now, but this thing is exactly the same as when it arrived. Truly astounding. Can’t wait to try some different shapes and sizes.

    Wow

I have the TP 55 and decided to try even thicker with the TAD 80. I love how the notes jump out with the TP 55 and with the TAD 80 this happens even more. But also the feel of TAD is liking playing with a piece of butter, in good way! I wish it was cheaper and hope I never loose it

    Immediate difference

Posted by Unknown on 22nd Apr 2024

I bought this pick because I was looking for a big triangular shaped pick and these guys were the only ones that gave me a dimension on-line. When it arrived I noticed the improved tone I got from my guitar on the first strum. Only thing I don’t like is the price, which is outrageous

The Pick I'll be using everyday

Posted by Unknown on 12th Jun 2023

This pick TAD 80 feels perfect for everyday use with the mandolin. I have a TAD 100 and a CT 55 that I still use. I know how long this pick will last as I have had my CT 55 for 10 years.

    Top Knotch… Perfect.

After 25 yrs. I’ve never seen a pick so versatile in approach and attack. Almost like pedals on a piano.. gives you so much subtle control over the minutae of Sound you wish to create. Very tactile in control and contact, you can feel ‘sweet spots’ easily with great response. I know, thats a lot of word salad, but truly .. the TAD80 and my TAD50 (as well) are excellent performers for al my needs. Well Done ! (Martin D18. Bluegrass, Manouche, flatpick Classical, SoloCrosspick arrangements)

    A real tone tool.

Posted by Michel Boulet on 20th Oct 2022

After watching quite a few youtube videos about the BlueChip picks, I decided it was worth the try. I went for a big one because I always play with the rounded ends of my picks. I am very please with my choice. The tone I get is incredible, compared to whatever I used before. The more I play with it, the more I love it. It is so easy to hold and it feels great. (even precious!...) ;-) It is equaly good on both my acoustic and electric guitars.
