Product Overview

This is the TAD-3R pick in 50/1000th of an inch(1.25mm) thickness. It is identical to the TAD, but HAS THREE ROUNDED CORNERS. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

    Somehow worth every penny

Posted by Freddy on 2nd Nov 2025

Tried these picks about 10 years ago and wont use anything else. Ive come to prefer the TAD3R in either 40 or 50 depending on light or medium strings. Bummed theyre not currently doing the custom inscription as its helpful to have my name on them in case I loose it, I have recovered a lost pick a couple times making the option well worth it.

    Wow

I like a big, thick guitar pick. I bought Wegen for the past decade for the size and grip and bevel. Wegen is a truly nice pick. These Blue Chips are the same size, somehow stick to my fingers without the Wegen holes for texture, and sound better. They slide over the strings like the Wegens don’t.

Best Pick I Have Ever Ply

Posted by keith on 8th Sep 2025

I have been a musician for over fifty years, I have played many instruments and recently bought my dream acoustic guitar and pulled out all of my many picks. I used to play electric guitars so I never paid that much attention to them. When I tried the picks I had I noticed what a difference they made so I researched what was the best pick. Every result was the BluChip. I saw how they started and had to give them a try. $35 is a lot for a pick but the best of anything isn’t going to be cheap. It is better than any pick I have and the more I play it the more I like it!

    Incredible

I'm no musician but I do love to noodle on my guitars and this is the first pick I've ever owned that didn't twirl around in my fingers. I just love it.

    Sweet tone

I like this pick for use when playing my Alembic guitar, which has active electronics. It softens the initial transient.

I recommend Blue Chips to anyone. They have really great tone and are really easy to play with. Also, the company has awesome customer service. If you need help with anything, they go beyond what they are required to do to assist you with your need! You can't go wrong with supporting such a great company!

    great tone with these picks!

I use the TAD 50 3R on my Martin D28 and get fantastic balanced tone. Not thin but very full! Also use a JD thumbpick on a Mastertone…also great tone. Had the thumbpick for several years so no more plastic thumbpicks wearing out! May get a backup of each in case I lose them…don’t think I’ll ever wear them out!
