The TPR is our classic TP pick with corners that are slightly round in a 50/1000th of an inch(1.25mm) thickness. Our picks are all precision machined and hand beveled for the highest quality.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

I play a Collings C100 w/ sitka top and rosewood b&s, and it has a bright, punchy sound. I also tend to play with a louder attack than many of my guitarist friends. The popular bluegrass style picks I'd been using accentuated the overtones nicely but it was harder to get a darker tone when I needed it, and tended to be too harsh for strumming. The TPR 50 solved all these problems. It can produce a bright tone when played completely flat, but at an angle warms up beautifully. Overall I'm able to get a wider range of tones and a bigger dynamic range. It essentially makes it easier to get the sounds in my head to come through the guitar. I think that's about all we can ask for out of a pick.

I bought this pick after hearing it recommended by another player. I have a mahogany OM sized guitar that I wanted to use it with. This guitar is strung with light gauge strings and I wasn't sure how it would sound with this pick. I shouldn't have worried. This pick delivers fantastic sound for both lead and rhythm playing. I love it!

For years I had been searching for a pick that I connected with,..something that let me go where I wanted on my Flat-top. In 2017 I was at camp (MBC) where Kenny Smith was the Guitar instructor. He let me try his and I was hooked!! I tried a few other sizes and styles and settled on the TPR50. I now have a few of them with my name engraved. The material is such that the tone is perfect, they slide perfect, and they simply don't wear out!! Amazing product!! Thank you Bluechip and Kenny Smith!!

I love the shape of the pick, the rounded corners glide off of the strings. The material the pick is made of does not effect the tone at all. Other picks I’ve tried have either brightened or darkened the tone of the strings. I’ll be ordering more, worth the extra cost.

I had a TD50 that I use on my Martin guitar and I love it. I recently bought a new mandolin and wanted a Blue Chip pick that was specifically for it so I wouldn't forget my pick if I didn't take both instruments. I purchased a TPR 50 and I really like the way it feels and the tone it helps me get from my mandolin. I cant say enough about Blue Chip picks....they sound and feel great and they last forever!

Have tried a couple other BlueChip picks different models and sizes but all sharp points. Like the feel.and tone was pleasing. Tried the TPR 50 at suggestion of a professional mandolin picker friend. Bingo, not only great feel but a better tone and the pick comes off the strings quicker. Keeping this one.

Blue Chip picks are FANTASTIC, but you need to find the one that's right for you. The slightly rounded corners on this one are perfect for mandolin, but the pick feels (to me) a bit small. I traded it in for the TAD 3R 60, which is (for me) ideal: it has the same gentle corners, but is nice & big, easier to hang onto.

I like that it slides over the strings well and that it is easy to hold on to. The tone is brighter than I had hoped, so it's another nice pick.

Bluechip Picks changed my playing and my sound in the best possible way. Sounds great loud or soft. Variability of tone is amazing. The material is hard enough to be extremely durable, and yet there is very little noise on the attack (a problem with some hard picks). Countless players think nothing of dropping a hundred bucks on an effects pedal that comes with a cheap battery. Bluechip picks are a steal. Do yourself a favor.

My instructor introduced me to this pick. It has been an awesome pick to play with. I’m fairly new at playing mandolin. I play now with more confidence and I have no trouble with the puck slipping out of my fingers. My instructors says I playing louder and faster with this pick.
I never knew a really good pick could make such a big difference. Thank you for this design. I’ll be ordering more in the future.
