Product Overview

The TPR is our classic TP pick with corners that are slightly round in a 50/1000th of an inch(1.25mm) thickness.  Our picks are all precision machined and hand beveled for the highest quality.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

    GREATEST PICKS ON EARTH

Posted by Gary Ivey on 17th Oct 2024

I have been using Bluechip picks every since they came into existence. I have several of the picks. I have a CT55 that I use with my Mandolin, I have TPR40's, TPR50's, I have a 60, a 48. I have a Kenny Smith 40. All together I hqve 12 Bluechip picks. I also have a couple of tortoise shell picks that never get used since I found out about Bluechip picks. If you're in the market for a acoustic guitar pick you really should give the Bluechip pick a try. You won't be dissatisfied! The beveled edges helps give you that quick picking ability. I have been playing Bluegrass music for over 40 years, I only use Bluechip picks.

I don’t know how they do it but the pick produces a warm tone!

    I Don’t Pick Without Them

Posted by Tony Eubanks on 9th Apr 2024

I’ve used a plethora of picks over the years and Blue Chip are my absolute favorite. The tone I get is full and truthful and a fair result of what I hear in my head before I make a stroke. Other picks to me feel thin and lifeless since I first discovered BC. I’ve tried several of their picks and the TPR-50 is my go to pick for both mandolin and guitar. One thing I’ve learned is when you let someone use your instrument and give them your BC, you better watch out or you won’t get your pick back! They make great gift ideas too!

    BlueChip picks are the best

Posted by James on 19th Jan 2024

My first BlueChip was a TP48 and immediately stopped using all other picks once I got it. I ordered the TPR50 and TAD50 to try something new but the shapes weren't for me. I returned and exchanged them within 30 days for a TP50 and TP60 with no problem.

    Best Picks Hands Down

There’s just not a better pick out there. Started using them back when the company started and still using them today. Can’t say enough, they’re great!

    Well, no joke! Wow!

After weeks of reviewing and considering other top picks, I got this for my brother - we A/B’d using my collection of Red Bears. We both agreed that the tone was superior. My brother uses this pick with his electric guitars. Looks like I will be needing to get myself one! I ended up selecting this one from the “5 watt world” guy’s video. Look it up if you haven’t seen it! I love that guy ?

Tried something new and love it.

Been using the TD-45 for about 10 years. Decided to give the TPR-50 a try at the recommendation of a friend. Both are fabulous but the latter is my new favorite. Smoooooooooth.

    TPR 50

Really enjoy my Blue Chip pick. I'm very happy with the way it doesn't spin when playing. I'll be ordering another pick one size thinner.

    Another winner

Posted by David Hughes on 13th Dec 2022

I think this is my 5th BlueChip. They have all been excellent and they are all I use anymore. This one provides an excellent tone from my D18 MD. It’s a warm, deep and rich tone that no other pick has ever produced for me. To say I am a happy, satisfied customer would be an understatement! David Hughes
