Product Description

The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 50/1000 of an inch thickness(1.25mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. I love it, gladly found and won't miss it! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Jan 2016

On a tour through the States, a Guitarpreneur suggested me to try the Bluechip Picks that might help to enhance my clarity and speed in Flatpicking. With 27 years of practice, i had a lot of picks in my hand, good and worse, but since now i did not really found my favourite one.
So back to my Acousticshop in Munich, i discussed this theme with some other pickers and they advanced the view that the BlueChip Pick is not worth that kind of money since it also just a piece of plastic although they never had one in their hand. Tortoiseshell is very high priced and not easy to get over here.
So i gave it a try and ordered two recommended TP50's and a set of Fingerpicks for my 5-String.
So here's my opinion: I think that i finally found the picks i was searching for. They slide over the strings flawless like ice with a impressive clarity and doesn't limit my hand and speed in picking. They're were worth the price like a good pair of shoes although i had to pay a lot for import taxes.
Mr. Goins, i am taking my hat off!
Will see what the other pickers say if they strum "my" pick over their instruments. I bet they'll change their opinion and you will have some new customers. Maybe you can do sth like mix and match or offer a set? But anyway i'll be back soon! Thanks.

  2. best pick ever! 5 Star Review

I am one who does not write reviews but I truly believe in this product.I have used many picks over the last three years, only to find out that picks are very different. I can honestly say that this Tp-50 pick is by far my favorite. My Martin or my Taylor have never sounded so good. The notes ring very clear and the pick is easy to control. I also received a free pick pouch with free shipping.Merry Christmas to me! THANKS BLUECHIP!

  3. Fantastic Pick 5 Star Review

Love the TP50 pick. After I bought the first, I bought a back up. I now have bought two more and keep one in each case. I use it on both acoustic and electric guitars, and my mandolin.

It is hard to tell someone I paid the $35.00 for a pick, but I get a better sound and the pick is smoother and faster on the strings. I am not a professional player, but I can hear the difference.

  4. Best pick I've found 5 Star Review

I'm so glad I discovered the Blue Chip picks. Ive tried just about every pick I could get my hands on to find the one that feels and sounded the best. This thing does both in that it sticks to your fingers and doesn't slip, plus it brings out the best tone of your guitar. I love these picks.

  5. The pick that makes $100 guitar sound like $1000 5 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Nov 2015

The great mandolin player Joe K. Walsh told me about BlueChip being his favorite pick. I'm a guitarist but out of curiosity I ordered a TP50 and fell in love. Great sound; fantastic playability and they magically stick to your fingers but nothing else. This is a magic tool to even make the most mediocre guitar sound special.

For all you Dutchies: make sure you order less than €45,- otherwise you pay 21% VAT & 2,5% import duties. That's what happened to me with my 2nd order :-(

  6. the lastr pick ill ever need. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 22nd Oct 2015

If your not picking with a bluechip pick then you are missing out! ... . I own a real tortoise shell pick and a papa's mother of pearl pick and Hands-down my TP50 bluechip pick produces the best sound from my Martin D28 or takamine Steve Wariner. I like 3 sided picks and love the "bevel" feature. These are "THE PICK" to have.

  7. You really need to try a Blue Chip pick! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Oct 2015

with all the new picks being offered these days i thought it was time to set aside my old faithful pick and try a few of these new ones. I first listened to my assortment of new picks unplugged and at first was unsure about the blue chip. thought i found another that was going to be my new choice. Then halfway thru a gig a reached over and grabbed a TAD50 and it was all over. the tone had clarity and weight i hadn't experienced before and the beveled edges made picking incredibly easy and fast. I was worried about the pick slipping from my fingers under the heat of battle but it seemed to almost get a grip of it's own and stayed securely in my hand. in short, i love 'em and i'm going to be trying more from Blue Chip. You guys rock, thanks!

  8. worth its price 5 Star Review

Excellent pick for acoustic guitar, great sound, plays fast, does not wear, does not slip ! The sound is not as good for jazz bebop (I prefer a stone pick for that kind of sound) but on a D28 it works like mad.

  9. My #1 Pick for a Pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Oct 2015

Blue Chip picks are my personal favorite.

First, the playability is incredible. They glide off the strings quickly and tremolo is fun and easy.

Secondly, I've done a sound comparison for several listeners and they always pick the blue chip as their favorite.

Bottom line: thanks Bluechip for your research and development of these fine picks. Why "pick" anything else?

  10. Best bang for the $$! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 14th Sep 2015

Good tone on the monel acoustic strings. No slipping or dropping the pick and it looks like it will last quite a while.

All around well worth the money. The only drawback would be to misplace it!
