Product Description

The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 50/1000 of an inch thickness(1.25mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. The TP-50 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Nov 2017

This pick has changed the way I play and what I want and expect in a pick. I use it for both acoustic and electric guitar. This pick has the best tone, is the smoothest off the string, is light and nimble, and is the most durable I've found. I love the 3 sided aspect of the TP-50. Just pick it up and play. No need to worry about which side you're playing on, plus 3 sides to wear out if that's possible. This is my pick for life. Thank you bluechip picks.

  2. My Favorite Pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 22nd Nov 2017

The TP 50 is my favorite pick. I play many different kinds of gigs on different instrument, and I used to need different picks for different guitars and types of playing. The TP 50 has made my other picks unnecessary. It produces a great tone on both my electric and acoustic instruments, Single notes ring solid and warm and strumming sounds crisp in clear. The TP 50 is also comfortable to hold and seems to play faster than my other picks. Now, whether I'm playing acoustic or electric, jazz, swing, or folk, it is the only pick I use.

  3. great pick 5 Star Review

Always used Dunlop 1.5s. I've got a pile of them, but thought if all the pros were using Blue Chips maybe there's something to it. Well, it's a whole other world. ..feels better, plays better, sounds better. The TP-50 seems just about perfect.

  4. Great Pick 5 Star Review

I really like this pick. I started out with a TP 35 but am gravitating to the thicker heaver picks. Really like this TP 50 Blue Chip. I have a TPR 50 but am liking the point for flat picking. I am going to try a TP 60 next.

  5. Outstanding pick 5 Star Review

I have not been able to return to other picks after using bluechip. Nothing I have used can match them. The TP is a perfect size--not too small or too large. I might lean toward the TP60 for the best overall control and (warm, full) sound, but TP50 is very firm and allows for better control than most picks of similar thinness. Perfect if you like a staccato attack and the thickness may be ideal for strumming.

  6. TP50 5 Star Review

Out of my three Blue Chip flatpicks, I like this one the best. The bigger size allows for great grip and dynamic picking. It's easy to get a lot of sound from my guitars with the TP50.

  7. TP-50 4 Star Review

I really like the feel, grip, tone and play ability
This pick is a little smaller than I was using and I'm trying to get used to it.
    I've since ordered at CT-55.

  8. There's a reason all of the greats use one 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Oct 2016

After years of using 1.5 mm Dunlops I decided to take the plunge and get a Bluechip. Yes, it can be hard to justify spending the money on one, but it pays for itself tenfold after playing with it. The connection with the strings is WORTH IT. Stop selling yourself and your instrument short and get a Bluechip!

  9. best pick ever 5 Star Review

Im very pleased with my blue chip pick. Would like to try a heavier one next time. Great feel and tone.

  10. Great product 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Jul 2016

This is my second TP50. I unfortunately lost my first after about 2 years of daily use, and it looked and played just as good as the day I bought it. I've been playing with a shell pick while this was on its way, and I didn't realize how much I missed my BlueChip until I had it back.
