This is the TAD pick in 50/1000 of an inch(1.25mm) thickness. It is shaped identically to the TP, but is slightly larger. All BlueChip Picks are professionally machined, laser engraved, and hand beveled.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

These picks are consistently great. Great finish work on them. Great sound to my ears. The fact that they never ware out is an added bonus. I'm thankful I found this company.

I am using the 50, 60 and 80 TAD picks. Most of the time I will stick with the 60. Great tone, great feel and no (and I repeat) - no string drag. The only thing close to the tone, feel and playability is a real tortoise shell. I have a couple left from the 70's and they are now retired because of my Blue Chips. Also, very little signs of wear with these picks. If I want a bit brighter sound I will use the 50TAD. ( I also use this on my Tele) . If I want a darker jazz tone I move up to the 80TAD. For all around flatpicking and fiddle tunes it's the TAD60. Also, my pick of choice for the 5-string (replacing my white National) is the JD in large. These picks are it...Get a Blue Chip and your search will be over!!!

I have the smalled Tad 50 with the one point and two rounded edges. Love this pick. It glides much better, just as they say and I'd tried several picks before this one. I needed help with tremolo work and it's been perfect.

Excellent pick. My mandolin teacher recommended these and helping immediately with my tremelo control. Engraving was perfect

Personally, I love the Blue Chip picks, their string clean response and "grip" ... but, best of all - the combo of a TAD30 andorTAD50 w/personalized boxes make highly appreciated gifts for my mando and guitar picking family and friends!

This is an awesome pick that only seems to get better with age. As I wear into it a little (which is a subtle thing, considering these picks hardly wear) the 'sweet spot' becomes apparent and always reliable.
It may take a little trial and error to find the perfect size and gauge, but when you do, viola!

This pick seems to bounce off the strings better than any other I have used. It seems quicker and cleaner for flat picking and solos. It is worth the extra money but don't lose it.

The TAD 50 is a great pick. Frankly, all the BlueChip picks are great. Just a matter of finding the shape and gauge that works best for your personal playing. BlueChip ended the "eternal" pick search for me. I think it had for a lot of folks.

First I like the size. I've used Fender Heavy's for decades but now they seem too small. I've used other large triangular picks but wasn't happy with the sound. I friend gave me a Blue Chip CT55 for my birthday and suddenly everything fit together - size and tone. After a year of not losing it, I decided to get another Blue Chip. This time I tried the TAD50 and I love 'em both! Not too much difference between the two. They both ROCK.

I absolutely love Blue Chip Picks! The TAD-50 is my favorite because of its size and thickness. Regardless of preference, these picks have a very noticeable tonal difference from your "run of the mill" plastic pick and they have a better grip as well. I have also tried many, MANY other boutique picks and still I'm hooked. I've grown used to people laughing when I tell them that I buy $35 picks, so I tend to give my slightly used Blue Chips away to other players. More often than not, they become addicted too! If I show up to a gig without my Blue Chip (which almost never happens) I feel like I've forgotten an important piece of equipment. I would highly recommend Blue Chip picks to anyone who is striving for that perfect tone or for any player who wants to get the most out of their pick!!
