This is the TAD pick in 50/1000 of an inch(1.25mm) thickness. It is shaped identically to the TP, but is slightly larger. All BlueChip Picks are professionally machined, laser engraved, and hand beveled.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

These picks are amazing! I love the way they stay put between your thumb and finger. They will make your picking faster because they glide so easy over the strings. They bring out the tone in your guitar! Why spend thousands of dollars on a great guitar and 50 cents on a pick? The Blue Chip picks are worth the money! I called them and ordered mine engraved, it was here the next day.. thanks Blue Chip!

Sounds clean, doesn't wear down and is easy to hold. Very good tone and worth the extra money

I've been using the pic for a few weeks. I've come to the conclusion that I should have bought the TAD 45. I'm just not ready for this thickness. I'm glad I have it and it was an upgrade from the 40 I bought a while back, but a little later I'll get the 45. Thanks for these products, I'll never get another brand.

The TAD 50 is a great balance of power/drive with sensitivity and connection with the strings. I use this primarily for bluegrass on a custom martin dreadnought. Lately loving medium gauge nickel bronze strings as well. Just buy it.

I have been picking stringed instruments for forty years. I have been through so many pick choices. I was given a Blue Chip pick by a friend to try and I have never used another brand. The tone, feel and consistency is second to none.
I use TAD-3R 40 for acoustic guitar and TAD 50 for mandolin.

I bought this pick along with a TAD 40 because I was not sure which I would like. On my particular mandolin (made by Jim Hillburn - #43, 2007) the TAD 50 seems perfect. I also have a CT 55, but though it feels and plays great, it is a little dark for this instrument.

I'm a believer. This is my third bluechip and I absolutely love them. I'm playing better, tone is outstanding - I feel as if I forget I am even holding a pick and my hands are magically guided to the exact point on or between strings. Truly a great product. I'll buy another soon. The TAD50 is perfect for me - I'm an acoustic / baritone player - heavy strummer and picker. Love it! Buy one - you won't be disappointed.

After this pick, I can not go back to the other ones. It's comfortable, it has punch, and the feling is just wonderful. After this purchase, I can not take another kind of pick.

I have been playing with my TAD50 for 1 year and 11 months, and it has no wear. None. I love the sound it produces. I rarely use any other pick. My favorite thing about it is that it allows me the improved accuracy of a thick pick without the limitations of one. The only negative I have found at all is that, because of its thickness, it is easy for me to play the strings too hard and cause buzz. Nothing wrong with the pick, just the player!

I play a Phoenix Bluegrass mandolin with D'Addario EXP 74s for all kinds of music: Bluegrass, Jazz, Swing, Classical and Old Time.
I have the TAD CT 55 that is just a touch too think for me. I get better pick flex and a louder tone with the the TAD 50. I was surprised by the difference.
Feels good to know I found what really works for me.
