This is the TAD pick in 40/1000 of an inch(1.0mm) thickness. It is shaped identically to the TP, but is slightly larger. All BlueChip Picks are professionally machined, laser engraved, and hand beveled.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

I've tried a number of Blue Chip picks recently. They're all good but this one suits me best.

Originally I bought TP50 and TAD40 for acoustic guitar, for I am living in countryside in Japan and cannot try Bluechip. My friend recommended me and gave me a chance to try TP 50 and I think this pick is really extraordinary. Anyway I want to try different one of Bluechip and chose TAD 40.
As a result, TAD40 is best for e guitar as for me. Before I had never used such big pick for e guitar, but thanks for sincere work, TAD40 is really really good for any kind of styles.
By the way, I have guitar students and one of them was not able to play so fast. BUT with TAD40 he can play so fast , which make him super surprised and laugh.
I had been using turtle pick for acoustic guitar for 16 years, but from now I switched to Bluechip and would never come back to turtle. Both of them aren best and extraordinary for me as ever.

I have 3 TAD 40 picks - one for each mandolin I own... they are all I use. I gave away my last tortoise shell pick and my Wegens and others just sit in the cases with their instruments.

I really nice pick. It is the right size and feels great. I use it for guitar, mandolin, and Tenor guitar. I am very satisfied.

The TAD-40 came recommended to me by several musicians I know and trust. They were 100% right!! Great weight, and the material used has a great feel and texture. Sounds great on the strings and doesn't slip. Will be buying others for my other stringed instruments

These picks give the most balanced sound, in MHO, on all of my mandolins. I have tried many different picks made from shark bone to shell- which was my favorite for years, but this material produces the best overall balanced sound and the bevel maintainence is only slight after a years use and I play hard daily. I use the 40 on the majority of my instruments but I also use a 50 to produce a softer tonation when recording. These picks allow for clean, fast and smooth playing especially on instruments with paired strings.
Thanks to Blue Chip for a superior instrument pick that will meet the demands of the most discriminating players.

I bought my first TD 40 a month or so ago. I was so impressed by the significant improvement over other picks that I have used that I bought a second one as a spare.

I purchased the TAD40, and have now used it on 3-4 gigs. Tone is great and its easy to hang on to. Only reason I didnt rate a 5, is because I've only had it 2-3 weeks.....want to see how it holds up over time....

Awesome pick! The TAD 40 fits so great in my fingers. I have a weak and sore thumb from 65 years of abuse. This pick has lots of surface area to hang on to! It doesn’t even try to slip out of my fingers even with a weak grip on my thumb! I just enjoy playing with it. Thanks so very much for an excellent product! I had my name engraved on it for my Birthday and it looks awesome! A+++++ rating and excellent service with very friendly and fast service!

I recently purchased a TAD 40 and I am extremely pleased. Virtually no pick noise, good clear tone, and it slides very smoothly over the strings, making it easier to play faster leads. I own several other " premium " picks in both triangle and teardrop shapes, and the Bluechip picks are head and shoulders better playing and sounding picks.
