This is the TAD pick in 40/1000 of an inch(1.0mm) thickness. It is shaped identically to the TP, but is slightly larger. All BlueChip Picks are professionally machined, laser engraved, and hand beveled.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

Dear BlueChip,
I purchased this pick previously and had used it almost exclusively from day 1. Unfortunately I lost my original and purchased this one as my replacement.
I am spoiled as to the play-ability and tone, it is wonderful!
Thank you for making such a great product!
Best Regards,

I needed a pick that would allow me to be able to switch between playing rhythm and backup and flat pick a lead. The TAD 40 does the trick. It feels really great in the hand and makes a much cleaner sound.

I have a TD50 and a TD40. I retired the 50 from acoustic use (use everyday for electric) and stick with the 40. I've been getting into the leverage, power and grip that I enjoy with the larger '346' shape and this TAD40 is just what I was looking for. To be honest, I've got a 1mm genuine TS in the same shape and I prefer the BC. And they just wear like iron... If you're on the fence, just do it. You'll understand why everybody loves 'em right quick! (and get it engraved while you're at it-personalization is cool.)

I really fell in love with these picks in my mandolin playing days, and have since realized that the TAD shape works for me on guitar as well.
Being a fan of 1mm picks, the 40 is ideal for my classical, steel stringed 6 and 12 stringed axes.
My go-to pick for everything that I want to sound its best.

This is my favorite pick ever. I have been using it for a few months now. It is comfortable to hold and does not slip, which gives it a very accurate string attack. For most of my life I have used medium thickness picks just for helping with the ability to hold onto them easier. This is a heavy pick, but is easier to hold than any pick I have used before due to the material that it is made from and its larger than normal size. It gives a very nice and clean sound without string scratch. This pick as well as the TAD-55 seem to glide effortlessly over the strings whether picking or strumming or running up and down the neck practicing scales. I will definitely buy it again.

I very much like my TAD40 right beveled guitar pick. It glides across the strings in nice manner and it is easy to hold. It produces an excellent bass sound on my Martin D35 guitar. I would recommend this pick to those who want something a bit better for playing.

Matt,
Great job on these picks, they are so clean and crisp and always easy to use. The only suggestion I have is, I wish you would put GPS tracking on them so I could save some money! :P

Best feel, best endurance, best sound of any pick that I have ever owned. The only reason that I needed a new one is because I lost my old one.

I love this pick! It brings clarity and definition to my guitar flatpicking. The only thing I could ask for that would make it better for my style of guitar playing for trad Irish music is a little flexibility for the up tempo strumming. But, all in all my favorite pick. Perfect for all other styles that I play. Highly recommend!
