  1. worth it 5 Star Review

when you first see them they look slippery and ugly and plain. my first thought was “this thing better work a lot better than it looks”. it turns out they are pure function and no fashion. Great picks are about three things. one is not slipping from your fingers. blue chip picks are so smooth and yet they stay put and never slip or grease out. two is the feel on the strings. blue chips feel effortless and never catch. they glide over strings and smooth out your playing but still somehow have great string sensitivity. Third is tone. blue chips sound smooth and rich. not overly bright but you get clean controlled dynamics. every dollar goes into quality materials and flawless finishing. pure function.

  2. The Holy Grail 5 Star Review

Over the last 25 years I have played Red Bear, numerous Wegen, numerous Dunlop, custom picks, real tortoise shell and many other picks. I can play with all of them, but always felt they left something to be desired. Shape not the best, scratchy on the strings, sound not great, slip in grip, all of them lacked in one area or another for me. The moment I picked up the LG 80 and played my first note I knew I had found the absolute perfect pick for me and my search had ended. Warm, loud clear tone on both my archtop and Gypsy Jazz guitars. Glides off the strings amazingly which facilitates the greatest speed of my life. Fits perfectly in my grip. Does not move around in my hand, still trying to figure that one out. For me, the LG 80 is the absolutely perfect guitar pick and it is very cool to finally have what I have searched for all these years.

  4. Gypsy Jazz 5 Star Review

Blue Chip picks are the only picks I use on my mandolin or guitars. I have particularly liked the TD40. I have several Blue Chip jazz picks but was looking for the perfect one for my new to me Gypsy Jazz guitar. I have found it. It produces great tone and moves across the strings effortlessly. I can't say enough good things about about Blue Chip picks. Like many I have tried numerous other picks but have found none to compare to Blue Chip.

  5. Ultimate 1.5mm upgrade pick 5 Star Review

A little faster and more pick attack comes through than the 100.
Both great picks. Maybe get this one if you're into precise blazing leads.

  6. Can't beat Bluechips! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 31st Jul 2019

I have all of the jazz iii bluechip picks, including the Andy Woods special with holes. I slightly prefer the LG 100 only because my hands are a bit bigger than average. However, I could easily live with this LG 80 as a 'go-to pick' if I had to. Presently, I have 7 bluechip picks with 4 more requested custom made ones coming. If you have an average sized hand, you can't go wrong with the LG 80. I just love ALL the Bluechip picks I own. The price is easy for me to pay because of the pleasure I enjoy using them.

  7. Great Pick! 5 Star Review

I love this pick. Feels great in the hand, produces a great tone, and comes off the strings as smooth as silk. I use it with all my archtops and my flat top.

  8. Worth every cent 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Mar 2018

I used to play Eric Johnson jazz iii but I wanted a change in tone (I was tired of the scrapping sound that the pick had) so I decided to try out the blue chip. Not only has my tone improved, my effiencrly and fluidity have also gone through the roof. I feel like a totally new and improved player.

  9. No kidding, best pick ever! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Nov 2015

My research for the ultimate pick is over, because I found out bluechip picks. I used to have a pick for acoustic guitar, another one for electric guitar and sonetimes even a (newer) pick for live shows (a dunlop Petrucci signature). Now i just use my awesome jazz LG 80 for everything and I am totally satisfied.
It wasn't easy to find these picks at first, because in Italy you can't find them in music stores, but I wanted a "tortoise shell- sound pick", so I started looking for it... After a lot Of researches and after trying a lot Of picks from many companies (even chickenpicks and red bear picks) i understood these are far beyond All the others in terms Of quality, resistance to use, playability and (most importantly)sound: they just Can make the tone pop out Of your instrument... Amazing! They're not cheap but they are the very best around, especially the Lg80

  10. Quality costs! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Aug 2015

Quite expensive but it really does aid fluency for fast picking and also give a better tone to the guitar, noticeably more so than any other boutique pick that I have experimented with. I will probably try the Jazz100 LG in the future but for the moment I am more than happy with the Jazz 80.
