I never thought I would spend this much money on a piece of plastic. But BC picks are worth every penny! I am a fingerpicker by trade, but am so psyched to get back into flatpicking since I was talked into trying these picks. And with a 30 day return option, how can you not give them a try?

Compared to the cost of other guitar pick, BlueChip picks are a bit more expensive. However, BlueChip picks really don't compare to other guitar picks—they are different—the material is different allowing for more volume and brighter tone to help cut through the mix. My TP50-1R pick is my favorite. The rounded corner allows for quick, smooth strumming and is my go to pick on the mandolin. The pointed corners can really dig in to the strings to get volume, without sacrificing tone. The hard, slick material and beveled edges glide through the strings with ease. Matthew and Allen are great to work with and their customer service is excellent. If tone and volume are important to your playing, BlueChip picks are worth every penny.

I was skeptical at first but finally decided to try Blue Chip out because I've always struggled with finding a pick that I'm comfortable with (and I've tried everything). For me, the feel and tone of Blue Chip picks has been a game changer. The Blue Chip pick is so comfortable in my hand that I'm able to pretty much forget it's there and my hand is way more relaxed than before. My strumming is more fluid and dynamic while single note runs are smooth and easy. The tone is unbelievable! My Taylor 814 and Martin D-28 both sound way better with Blue Chip picks. I purchased my first Blue Chip pick, a TP-1R 40, about a 6 weeks ago and love it. About 3 weeks ago I purchased a TP-1R 50 which is great too. I can't decide which one I like better. The TP-1R 50 is just a little stiffer and has a slightly meatier tone. If you've had trouble bonding with picks as I did, I'd highly recommend giving Blue Chip picks a shot.

Picks play a huge role in shaping the sound that comes from acoustic instruments. Blue Chip Picks have become a staple of my guitar tone; replacing every other pick I've used. They have a natural feel and a dark complex sound. They glide across the strings like a feather, and they seem to last forever. I can't recommend them highly enough.

For a dry skin, especially winter, most of plastic picks are hopelessly slippery. I've tried drilling holes, band-aid, chewing gum but some measures didn't work and others were too ridiculous. Tortoise shell is the best material but not available anymore. BlueChip has a good stable grip and smooth picking on the strings.

Love this pick for acoustic playing, whether it be folksy sturmming, flatpicking runs, hybrid picking, or anything else. For me, pick grips well right away with barely any "warming up," provided my hands are clean. The material feels very "high end" and extremely durable, definitely different than celluloid or delrin/Tortex, and slides of the strings effortlessly. As whole, my picking hand is a lot more relaxed and fluid when using the Blue Chip. But most importantly, it really does sound good! The strings have a warm, percussive attack that I dig, but without any annoying "clicks" or "chirps." Definitely my favorite pick for acoustic playing, and I'm looking forward to getting a couple of different shapes/thicknesses and seeing how they fare for my electric playing.

The first thing I noticed is that the sound was clear and direct, I play mostly jazz and the rounded edge is great for rhythm playing, and for improvisation I can play fast clear lines. Best pick I have ever played.

I have settled into using this pick for both guitar and mandolin. Fantastic pick!
