  1. Never Knew My Guitar Could Sound This Good! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Feb 2025

I can’t even put into words how much joy my first BlueChip TP-1R 50 pick has brought me. It’s not just a guitar pick — it’s a game-changer and an experience that has completely transformed the way I play guitar.

For years, I played with regular picks, always feeling like I was hearing more of the pick itself than my actual guitar. I thought that was just how it was — until I tried this pick. The first time I played with the TP-1R 50, I was completely blown away. It felt like the pick disappeared, and I could finally hear the true voice of my guitar. The sound was richer, clearer, and more alive than I ever imagined.

What makes this pick even more special is how it lets me explore two different sounds in one. The pointed edge gives me precise attack and brightness for leads, while the rounded edge delivers a smooth, warm tone perfect for softer, more soulful playing. I never thought a pick could make such a huge difference, but this one feels like an extension of my hand — bringing out every nuance of my playing style.

It took me a long time to save up for this pick, and I was hesitant at first because I’d never spent this much on a pick before. But now that I have it, I can confidently say it’s worth every penny. The craftsmanship is perfect, the feel is unlike anything else, and the way it enhances my tone makes me wonder how I ever played without it.

Now, I can’t stop thinking about trying the TPR 60 — I imagine the slightly thicker, fully rounded edge could add even more depth and control to my playing. But for now, I’m incredibly happy enjoying my TP-1R 50, exploring new sounds, and feeling more inspired than ever to keep playing and improving.

If you’re unsure whether to get a BlueChip pick, just do it. It’s not just a pick — it’s an investment in your playing, your sound, and your connection to your instrument. And to the amazing team at BlueChip: thank you for creating something this extraordinary. This pick has truly rekindled my passion for guitar, and I’m beyond grateful for that.

  4. only pic i use 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th Apr 2024

I have had one for several years at it is the only pick I use. Purchased a couple more, not because I need them(I don’t think they ever wear out) but because I wanted one with each guitar so I did not need to track down my one pick.

  5. The ultimate guitar picks 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th May 2023

I've practiced and performed with all my recently purchased Bluechip picks for about a month just to get a feel for them before writing a review. I've purchased TDs of several thicknesses and same with TPs. The TP50-1R is my favorite for all around playing. I plan to order a couple so I'll have one in each guitar case just to make sure I've got one.

I'm a solid upper intermediate player and the Bluechip picks are like nothing I've ever used. They really compel someone wanting to improve their game to actually do it. There's no doubt the picks help you improve your strokes and articulations - you can hear it and the tones are repeatable. The picks catch and release the strings so cleanly there's really nothing to blame mediocre tone on except for player technique.

I've now played all the picks I've got for hours and Bluechips are the one for me. In particular if you have the TP50-1R in your hand it's a complete tool for precision picking of all styles and fast bluegrass. The pointed and rounded tips have everything covered.

  6. Great Purchase 5 Star Review

With one radius corner and two pointy corners this pick rocks! I also have the 40 thickness in the same design, but I believe this one gives me a little more volume and great tonal quality. I don’t exactly understand how the grippiness of pick works, but it’s very easy to hold on to and to keep in the correct position. I will probably experiment with additional pick designs and thicknesses in the Blue Chip pick family in the future.

  10. TP50-1R my review 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Feb 2023

I have tried and own 4 different Bluechip picks and I'm happy with them all But TP50-1R is the pick that does it for me. If your on the fence about buying one I don't think you will regret if you do. You spend a lot of money to get a good sounding guitar only to cheap out the piece of equipment that can really effect your tone.
