The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 48/1000 of an inch thickness(1.22mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

I owe about 6 different blue chip picks. They are the best pick I have ever owned for tone and wear. Get one, you won’t be disappointed

This pick definitely is just what I’ve been looking for where I noticed the second I picked it up my accuracy was improved my tone was improved and it just sticks to you finger. I was turned onto these by another bluegrass picker and this item does not disappoint and it never wears. I strongly recommend this item.

This is an excellent all around playing pick with great sound. Comparing it against a TP501R and a TP40 played on a year old D18 strung with Martin Retro bluegrass strings it lands right in the middle sound wise and excels over both playing. The TP50 is warm and loud but it doesn’t let the treble strings sing out. The TP40 is nice to play with but the sound gets a bit harsh and jangly, especially when pushed hard. The TP48 takes the best of the two for great tone and adds fast, smooth on/off. The pick thickness, at least for me, is perfect. Love the full deep tone it produces from every string up and down the neck.

Dropped my first bluechip in a porta potty at Billy String's Renewal Festival in Colorado. So I bought 2 this time around just in case that happens again!

The pick is wonderful and is the perfect blend of flex and sturdiness. Make sure you hold it in the right direction though

My favorite picks ever - bought a few TP48s and have been loving them, the beveled edges are great for flat picking.

I can rip up a pick in no time at all so when I heard about Blue chip picks, I was interested in learning more. The price was a little shocking but I figured it certainly would not run me broke.
As of now, I've played close to 20 hours with this pick and not a single scratch on it!
I love how it plays and feels in my fingers.
After seeing an interview on YouTube with the owner, I now understand where the price comes from. I've been a machinist for 40 years and I appreciate the fixturing and work that goes into these picks.
I am totally pleased beyond what I expected.
You've got a new loyal customer here!
Thank you.
