Product Overview

The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 48/1000 of an inch thickness(1.22mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

    Best Pick I've Ever Pciked

Posted by Russ Savage on 5th Nov 2025

I feel like I've run the gauntlet of pick materials, sizes, shapes, and thicknesses, and always felt like each one left something to be desired. The TP48 is truly the only pick for acoustic that I felt like checked ALL the boxes. The size is perfect, allowing for precise control, while maintaining speed and accuracy and a perfect tonal balance. It offers a nicely rounded-off note, while maintaining plenty of treble response to cut through. I love the feel too, once it settles in my fingers it never slips. Truly the best picks I've ever picked.

    Glad i did!

I was hesitant to spend the money but everyone who has purchased them had such a positive response that I decided to purchase one to try it for myself. I’m glad I did. I will be ordering a couple more.

    I was a skeptic...

Posted by Mike on 6th Oct 2025

I admit, when I learned of these picks and heard the price, I laughed and said I'd never buy one. Well, I bought one, and then two more for fear I might lose or misplace it! Initially, I thought it would be too thick, as I've always used Fender mediums. But what a difference this pick makes! It is now the only pick I will use for acoustic guitar. The articulation of notes is so much clearer, and the pick is very comfortable to grip. It is hard to explain until you try one. I highly recommend this pick for acoustic guitar playing.

A great pick for pulling tone

Posted by Jamie on 29th Sep 2025

I’m new to mandolin picking, and I tried to use a more rounded pick that I’ve played guitar with for years, I find that the TP is compact and the more refined tips make it a better choice. I have found that the 48 is my magic number of thickness. Great quality, good folks running the company, I will always check back with them when I need a pick.
