Product Description

The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 48/1000 of an inch thickness(1.22mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. Love whatever this thing is made out of 5 Star Review

Great sounding pick, easy to hold and doesn't slip, smooth as glass. Recommended for flat-top bluegrass style. Just don't lose the thing or loan it out. It's really pricey for a pick.

Hey folks, Kevin from France here. I bought my bluechip 2 weeks ago and I can say it's the best pick I ever had. I don't know anything about the material used here but it is for sure high quality. Awesome for speed bluegrass and country playing.
    Keep picking !!!

  3. Worth every penny! 5 Star Review

I've been on a quest for the right pick for me over the last 40 years. I've tried almost everything. Thick, thin, small, large, plastic, brass, aluminium, shell, coin, etc. I never in a million years thought I would spend this much money on picks but I finally decided to give these a shot. I mean if I want to play like Billy Strings I should probably try out the picks he uses. I got my pick in the mail and was sceptical but when I tried it for the first time I was truly amazed. I have been playing several hours per day for a couple of months with the first one and it's showing no signs of wear. I would have gone through 3 or 4 regular picks with this amount of playing. Now I have about a half dozen of these TP48s in case I lose one or two. :)

  4. TP 48 5 Star Review

Excellent pick. Like all the Blue Chips I’ve tried, it’s comfortable to hold, glides over the strings, and has a crystal clear, pleasing tone whether strumming or flatpicking. I was a nay sayer to expensive picks before I actually tried the Blue Chip. Worth the money!

  5. I really do play better 5 Star Review

A friend suggested I try a Blue Chip a couple years ago. I was skeptical, but after getting used it I was hooked. These picks may or may not sound better, but they stay put in my hand. This allows my grip and entire hand to be looser than ever before. The easier grip just allows me to play better.

I have two of these picks TAD-50, and TP-48, I think they are fine picks. Use the TP-48 on a 000-15 , TAD-50 on D-18 . when these are gone, I'll get some more. I think I will get my daughter one for her mandolin.

  8. TP 48 5 Star Review

Great pick! I’ve been using the TD 50 for a while now and decided to try the TP 48. This pick has a great shape with a bit more surface than the TD which gives a feel of more control when flatpicking guitar. Quality and bevel is perfect as with all my Blue Chips.

Smooth as silk off strings. Flat picking etc......Does not sound like glass coming off strings like other picks.

  10. best sounding pick! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 30th Mar 2020

I've tried many brands of picks and I can say that these are worth the cost. They really bring out a warm tone and you don't hear any scraping sound on ipmact to the strings. Also, good enough for Strings and Sutton!
