This is the second TD80 I have purchased. I play mandolin and guitar, and I use no bevel on the pick. After a year of several hours daily playing, the pick has developed slight bevels on each shoulder (I pick with the shoulder). It doesn't affect my playing that much, but I wanted a separate TD80 for guitar and mando, so I bought another. The tone is out of this world, and crushes the delrins I previously used (same thickness). Highly recommended for those with a heavy right hand and powerful attack.

This pick is the perfect thickness for me and the way it glides across the strings makes the right-hand an effortless complement to the challenges of playing across the fingerboard in this style of music.
I've tried dozens of pics including real tortoise shell pics from the '70s and nothing comes close to the invisible feeling and gorgeous tone that these picks produce.

I do flatpicking so my TD80 is ideal for me. It's thick, sharp, and durable!

I've been playing for 43 years. Both professionally and teaching. For acoustic playing this pick has an immediate positive impact on the tone, feel, clarity, and speed. I purchased the TD-80 and Jazz 80 LG. The TD-80 with no speed bevel; produces a much warmer tone then the Jazz 80LG. Not that the Jazz 80LG is overly bright or tinny; just that the TD-80 is warmer; I believe due to the difference in the tip point. It made my Taylor GA5 Cedar/Mahogany, go from being a too bright instrument; to bringing the tone into a very desirable sound. The price is high; would be nice if it was lower; so I'd recommend the great little wooden box for safe storage.

I've been beating up my TD-80 for the past two years, playing 4+ hours daily, and it barely shows any sign of wear. For those who balk at the price, consider how many picks you'd normally go through. The tone is great, the speed you can achieve is phenomenal. Really, my only complaint is that the surface is slick, making it a little hard to hang onto when my hands get sweaty on stage. Bluechip, you might consider creating a textured version. That would make an already great pick into the perfect one.

I was able to return this one plus two others for a full refund + the shipping. Very cool to deal with. I've been playing thirty-three years, and I guess I've already found the picks that I need for "my sound" for each of my guitars. These were nice, though.

A pick that lasts, and feels the same EVERY time! I've spent years looking for the right pick, thank you Blue Chip! After a month of intense use this pick is barely showing a scratch of ware and I love the tone it pulls out of my Martin Tyminski custom signature series guitar! The tacky grip Blue Chip picks have is also a plus in aiding you to hold it without it turning or moving around. And thank you Blue Chip for a REAL pick at last!

And feels the same in your hand ALL and EVERY time! I'm a professional musician and practice 8, 12 and sometimes 15 hours per day when our band isn't working so I go/WENT through a lot of picks in a short time. I've only been using this pick a week now but it has many long hours on it and still isn't showing one bit of ware! Not even a scratch! I also like how it's tackiness doesn't allow it to slip or turn while playing, and the woody sound it produces is amazing! KUDOS to Blue Chip for a REAL pick! You guys rock!!! Now I've gotta order more!

ok ... could be a little cheaper, and so only 4 stars ... i´ve been playing jim dunlop 2.00 mm for a long time. to me the TD 80 feels and sounds very similar, but, in my opinion: quite a little better. i am professional musician, so i dont care about money for a thing that i have to hold in my hands for hours every day and that inflects my sound in a positive way. great product.

I received my TD 80 and I tell you what...what seems to be a little pricey for a pick becomes the most invaluable tool for the flat picker, this thing has a great "woody" attack and with a little picking hand manipulation you can really get your top driving for those rhythm parts. I even use it on my electric guitars. Fastest pick on the market hands down! You will wonder why you didn't invest in one earlier.
