a bit big for my fingers

The TAD-60R is built to the same precision as the other products I have from bluechip. Expectations met! The shape doesn't quite fit my fingers as well as the TD-60 I've been using. So I'm a little disappointed, but it's as fast and as level at tone production as one should expect.

I have been playing for over 50 years. I have used every pick known to man plus more than my share of cut up credit cards. This pick has 3 things I love: 1. Tone - it has a built in EQ that is perfect for my HD28. It produces pure tone with great volume without the clicking sound of many picks. 2. It slides through strings like butter! No matter how I attack the strings this thing goes through with perfectly smooth consistency. 3. I can hold on to this pick no matter how I play. I have not lost it yet - but I will purchase a couple of back ups as picks have the tendency to play hide and seek with me.

I play mandocello. I love this pick. It is the right shape and size for semi aggressive picking. It handles tremolo on the mandocello like a dream. It doesn't catch on the string or wear out like cheaper picks will do. I just purchased my back up pick. I'm such a fan. Thanks!

Fantastic pick. I prefer a stiff pick and this fits the bill without being too thick. Everything that everyone raves about in terms of tone, speed and grip is spot-on. A much recommended investment. I doubt I'll be losing this anytime soon. I bought a TPR 60 for my electric because I prefer a slightly smaller pick for electric playing. Both are ideal tools for great feel and tone.

For mando or 12 string ??

I bought a TAD60-3R for use on my F5, but found that it really came into its own on my custom Martin D12-20. However my mando player (an old pal) "stole" it from me to use on his new Weber Fern. Worn down by emails about free shipping - I ordered another - and it surely brings out the best of my 12 string - using EJ37s tuned to D.

I previously used Gilchrist picks for mandolin which were great until they wore down and got rough edges. The TAD60-3R not only plays smoother from the start, it never stops playing smooth. When touring, my Blue Chip pick gets used for hours every day. Not sure how they do it, but it still seems like new. I recently purchased another, since at one gig my pick fell to the floor and I couldn't find it until load out. Now I have a back up!

I purchased my first blue chip pick last July. I wasn't especially impressed and thought what is the big deal. At the time I was using a Dunlop 2.0 that I liked better. Of course it was what I was used to using. For whatever reason I recently ordered two more TAD60-3R picks. These seem to be thinner than the original pick and play like a dream. There is a difference and now I see what all the excitement is about. I have retired the original to my D-18 Martin and what a differnce in tone. The new picks go with the Randy Wood and I am always getting comments about the tone quality of the combination. At this point I guess I am stuck on Blue Chip.

I truly love these picks for my Collings MF5.
When you invest a lot of money into your
instrument, you want the best sound and
playability available. The TAD-3R delivers
that to me ! Also, they don't seem to wear
out! For the tone and volume they produce,
I think they are well worth it !

I was skeptical about paying a lot of money for a pick, but when I started using the TAD60-3R, my mind was changed. It's the only pick I want to use now. It doesn't slip, it makes very little pick noise, and I use it freely between guitar and mandolin. I liked it so much I bought a second one for my gig accessory bag, in case I leave home without one.

Sounds great on a six string

I originally intended to use this on my mandolin but prefer the sound of it on my guitar. I like the rounded point and lack of bevel. It suits my attack which is flat and parallel to the strings. I'll stick with the TAD60 on mandolin. This is fourth BC pick, they are my favorite!
