This is the TAD-3R pick in 60/1000th of an inch(1.5mm) thickness. It is identical to the TAD, but HAS THREE ROUNDED CORNERS. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

For my 'woodier' axe, this is the only pick.
On the brighter sounding ones these can be a little brittle sounding.

My go-to picks are casein picks, with BC doesn't make. But there are times I want a warmer sound, particularly for strumming, and this pick with no speed bevel and the rounded corners is a MELLOW sounding pick. I have a couple of them - like 'em a lot.

As a bluegrass musician, picks have been the way I dial in my tone. The slightest change sounds completely different. And switching from mandolin to guitar, I’ve not had a pick I loved with both until this one. It glides effortless and smoothly through the strings yet I pull all the tone and volume I need. I may end up getting the 45 and 50 to go with it.

After only a month my impression is that the TAD60-3R is a great pick for my mandolin play. Has a good balance of accurate attack and good volume picking with easy/smooth feel when playing chords. Still makes my Weber Bitteroot bark when chopping . Hard to believe how these Blue Chips "stick" to your fingers. Has encouraged a much more easy right hand grip on the pick which may lead to better tone and speed.

I am an average player, but Blue Chip has made me above average. Improved my flack picking skill a lot. Very fast and smooth.

I am a hospital Hospice and Palliative Care chaplain. while I am not a professional musician I have taken lessons from a gifted well known musician/teacher for eight years. I have the privilege of playing bedside and in our memorials , music for our terminally ill patients, families and their children. I have been entrusted with some very old vintage Martin guitars that i use. while I normally play finger style I have searched high and low for some flat picks and thumb picks that feel and sound good and give honor to what I do with my Martin guitars. Your picks both flat picks and thumb picks enable me to play bedside and in a small group setting with an amplifier and the tone and feel are sensational. I have tried almost all of the popular flat picks and thumb picks and had almost given up until I found your Blue Chip TAD -3R-60 and your JD Crowe Thumb pick. The fit and feel are sensational. The tone is incredible. the tone ,feel, sound and feeling of connection with the guitar is mystical and incredible. I do think that if more ordinary players like myself were introduced to your picks-they would gladly switch and pay the difference. while they do cost More than cheap plastic picks they seem to give honor to the guitar and fit the spirit of the music. in life, you get what you pay for.. why have a nice guitar and use ridiculous cheap plastic picks really!!! Why? your picks make it easier and much more rewarding to play. Respectfully, chaplain George Francis..

I recently purchased a TAD60-3R with engraving.
If you like a really heavy pick this one performs great! I really like the sound I get with the rounded corners and having my name engraved gives it a little texture to help holding on to it.
i highly recommend the Bluechip picks as well as the folks at Bluechip.

I have several instruments so I just bought one Blue Chip pick for each one. Couldn't afford to be without one when I need it. Had them engraved so I know they're mine. Love the feel and sound and they don't slip and twist in my fingers. Worth every penny of the cost.
