Product Description

This is the TAD-1R pick in 60/1000th of an inch(1.5mm) thickness. It is identical to the TAD, but HAS ONE ROUNDED CORNER. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. 2 Picks in 1 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Jun 2012

The TAD60-1R is the best pick I have ever played. The one round corner allows for a warmer tone when needed. The tone from this pick makes it sound like a different instrument. Great pick well worth the price.

  2. Best Pick Ive Used. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 8th May 2012

Ive been using this pick for a few months now, and its easily the best pick ive ever used. Its super fast off the strings and has awesome tone. It works as well on mandolin as it does on guitar. The rounded edge has a nice fat tone, while the point is just enough to cut through a little.

  3. Outstanding Pick! 5 Star Review

I love my Blue Chip picks. They are easily the best I've ever used. The only problem with them is that they are so expensive, I'm scared to death that I'm going to lose one!

  4. I love it for slide! 5 Star Review

My main pick is a CT55, but I had bought the TAD1R for use with my Jazzmaster playing Surf music. THe speed of a Blue Chip comes in very handy when playing 16th notes and I don't worry about dropping it. The last year I have gotten into electric slide guitar, mostly in open tuning, and I still do not have great fingerpicking coordination, so I found the rounded end on the thick pick to sound similar to fingers when you use a light touch. It also makes the pick just enough shorter that I can hybrid pick easily with it.
