    Worth it!

Posted by Unknown on 8th Jan 2022

I purchased 5 different picks in shape and material and was amazed how much they each sound different. This pick brings out the best tone of my mando. The the rounded tip is quite mellow, and the other edges are super bright. I love it.

    best pick option

I love this pick. Just the right stiffness for my mandolins and bulletproof. The single radius choice is a bonus. I can use the bigger radius for subtle strumming and tremolo or I can use the sharper radius for more articulate playing and louder cutting tone. It’s two picks in one!

    Best pick I've ever used!

Posted by Shaun S on 6th Oct 2021

I've been using this pick everyday since I got it and... I love it. I've long been uncomfortable using other guitar picks, opting instead to use my fingers. My opinion was that for me, picks got in the way more than anything. They would slide around in my hand, click against the strings, and generally feel like a distraction to my playing. With this pick I can hold it and I don't need to think about it. It stays put between my fingers and that lets me focus on the movement of my hand and not the thing I'm holding. The pick itself slides easily across the strings making very little clicking noise. Plus, I find the tone it makes very pleasing as well. Many would consider $40 a lot to spend on a guitar pick and I would agree. But $40 for a pick that makes playing my guitar a more enjoyable experience, and maybe helps me play better in the process. I think that is absolutely worth it and I would definitely buy another if something happened to this one.

    Great Pick

I have this pick in sizes 40, 50 and 60. These are my favorite picks. They have very little click. As you increase the thickness the sound gets fuller. I use all these and change them up to match the sound I'm looking for.

    The Best there is....

The best pick iv ever used. It stays put between my fingers and is slick across the strings picking and strumming hard. These blue chips puts the old traditional tortoise shell picks in the dust.

    the ultimate pick

Posted by ck on 16th Mar 2021

This pick choice is the best all around pick available. It has a tacky feel, thickness is stiff but not bulky, and the combination of two sizes of radius in one provides excellent utility. The tone I achieve on my mandolins is unparalleled.

This pick has the perfect sturdiness for picking and strumming. For advanced players!

    The hype is real

Posted by Rob on 15th Jan 2021

Anyone who's serious about picks or just curious about them, would likely come across mentions of BlueChip at some point, as they are often considered one of the very best picks you can get on the market. You'll find comments singing its praises about how smooth they glide over the strings, how full-bodied and warm they sound. I'm one of those people who bought BlueChip picks based on those comments, and I'm here to say that the hype is real. Everything they said is true. BlueChip has gained such a reputation that other companies wanted to emulate those legendary qualities, and despite trying their best (AHEM, Dunlop Primetone and Gravity Gold series), they never can match it 100%. For some people, the emulations from other companies get close enough, but for some, nothing short of a genuine BlueChip pick will be satisfactory. Which side you're on depends on whether you subjectively prefer BlueChip's unique qualities, and how much you care about diminishing returns. To me, BlueChip picks glide over strings smoother, and has a fuller-bodied warmer-tone that's other similar picks don't quite match. As for diminishing returns, I have over $700's worth of guitar picks from various companies, ranging from big corporations to small boutique shops, and BlueChip is one of my absolute favorites, despite being also one of the most expensive. There are certainly cheaper picks that come very close, and if I ever run out of money to spend on expensive picks, I'd be happy with the cheaper alternatives too. But while I still have the money to spend on expensive picks, I enjoy the luxury of playing BlueChip picks.

    Greta pick

This is the most comfortable pick I have found and it sounds great. The only pick I like a bit better for tone is the CT 55 but this is right there next to it.
