The SR is an extremely rounded triangle shaped pick in a 50/1000th of an inch(1.25mm) thickness. The bottom corner radius is greater than the top two corners. Our picks are all precision machined and hand beveled for the highest quality.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

This is great pick. It is durable and I like the beveled edges. There is minimum pick noise.
The only drawback is that it is expensive at $35.
Thank you.
Regards,
Paul

I purchased two SR 50s several years ago based upon recommendations on the Collings Forum. I have never been disappointed. I love the feel and tone. Every other pick I try is inferior. I am a very satisfied life time customer.

This pick was recommended to me by my mandolin teacher Sharon Gilchrist a great performer and teacher. I could immediately tell the difference in tone and the ease with which it slid off the strings. My husband can tell when I'm using another pick just by the sound. He says it give the mandolin a a lot better tone and sound of fullness now.

The bluechip pick is amazing. It holds in my fingers without any effort, the tone is much fuller sounding and my speed has improved. Thanks, BlueChip

I love the SR50.
I love the size of the pick and the shape of the points.
I like edges that are rounded yet have the smallest bit of a point to them to help grab the strings. A little bit of a point helps grab the string just enough, while the rounded edge helps round out the tone and make it a little warmer than the sharper pointed picks do.
The 50 weight proves great for my bass-heavy sounding mandolin. The 60 weight was a little too heavy and dark on my mando.
I find that I prefer the SR50 without the bevel more so than with the bevel.
Love the feel of the blue chip material in the hand. And it definitely seems to produce a more live tone than mere plastic.
I resisted the Blue Chip trend as long as possible. It's like resisting owning a cell phone. Now that I tried one, I had to have it!

This is a great pick for mandolin. It is fast and has excellent tone quality. I play it everyday and had it about a month and don't see any wear on it.

I have used many different picks on my mandolin, but the SR50 is by far the best. Its rounded shape and speed bevel make tremolos much smoother and the material makes for a firm grip.
I use Blue Chip exclusively on my guitars and mandolins. Simply the best I have ever tried.

Didn't like it on my F-5, the speed was nice but the attack was not as good as the Goldengate and the tremolo was weak.
My Mann EM-8 was a different story, since it is an electric the attack was not as important, the speed however was very nice.
I do like the stickiness of the material and I might try a non speed bevel next time

This pick is very firm which is my preference because I like to be precise as I'm playing. It is smooth as silk and can just glide through the strings as you strum as well. Only one work to describe it, "Excellent". Thank you.
