Product Description

The SR is an extremely rounded triangle shaped pick in a 50/1000th of an inch(1.25mm) thickness. The bottom corner radius is greater than the top two corners.  Our picks are all precision machined and hand beveled for the highest quality.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. speed and proximity 5 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Jul 2024

I ordered this on the recommendation of my teacher. I have been playing blue chips for years with a bigger size and pointed corners. I really like the speed I get with this and the proximity of my hand to the strings. The thickness of the 50 gets it just right.

  2. SR50 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Apr 2024

A friend let me use his SR50 and I ordered one that day. I use it with my guitar and mandolin. The sound is the best I have ever gotten from my other pick which I have used for years. It didn't take me long to realize this is the pick for me.

  3. when you own a blue chip pick, you always know exactly where it is 5 Star Review

Posted by on 1st Nov 2023

I was gifted a TD50 three years ago by my wife. I’m so glad she did! I enjoy using this pick on all my guitars and it shows no wear at all. When I noticed myself using the side of the pick on my acoustic guitars, I ordered the SR 50. I think I’m better at crosspicking with it.

  4. Sharon Was Right 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Feb 2023

I have several BlueChip picks and like them all, for different instruments and applications. I ordered the SR50 on the recommendation of expert mandolinist Sharon Gilchrist for use with an F5 style mandolin. I have found it to be a really good match in terms of tone, particularly.

Been playing for 47 years and there's never been a pick that has taken my playing to another level like the blue chip pick has!

I purchased this particular pick, a SR 50, for mandolin. So far I am extremely happy with it, as I am with my Blue Chip guitar picks!

No slipping in the fingers and exceptional tone! I will be getting more Bluechips in the future.

  10. New player, I love this pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Mar 2021

I’ve been playing for about a year or so now; I work on the railroad and travel quite a bit, decided to take up the guitar to kill time away from the family.

Saw some reviews of Blue Chip picks and it had me intrigued. Even as Novice I can tell the difference, I let my teacher use it last lesson and he was amazed at the feel and tone difference. So I would say the pick is worth the money.

    I have a Yamaha Trans-acoustic and 2 cheap alverez’s I travel with.

I am currently writing this regretting leaving my good pick at home for fear of loosing it. I’m going to have to buy another for the road.
